almost 2 years later and this remains probably the most iconic ME video i've ever seen. i have no fucking idea how you managed to find a track which not only just so happens to feature 2 EXTREMELY mirror's edge sounding instruments but also the original of which has an incredibly gay music video

Not only did I lose it at the beginning section, but 4:17 too. I'm glad we have speedrunners who play this game and find stuff like that out. Playing it back in 2009, it feels like just yesterday.

Man, I can't even do the old KG chain in Prologue... How would I ever do this one (ok, I can chain 2-3 KGs, but I've only played the game 8 hours so far, and didn't finish the campain)... Can't even do the hidden springboard in stormdrains consistently.

Yes, it should be fine. But turn off PhysX when you start the game :)

+Req please do a video tutorial for all these new techniques, I really need some help to learn how to wallboost and all this (like the double wallclimb...), all i can do is : sidejump boost, kickglitch (not consistently at all), and animation skipping (button pressing) sometimes.

For the any% segmented, you'd be surprised how few of these are actually faster than what segmented has. Maybe like 3 or 4 things in here are fast enough for segmented, and I know for fact at least 1 will be super difficult to pull off without tas

It's dressed up like one of those multiplayer FPS montages. Except you don't practice the exact same multiplayer FPS moments over and over. In singleplayer, I know you practiced like fuq to get this game footage. also first chapter KG chain to the end pipes hype can't wait for this to be standard so every successful run will have to start with it :^)

Yeah if you look into the wall and release W, and then turn the camera out from the wall while scrolling, you can ensure a boost at the sharpest possible angle. Sharper angle = more speed

also it doesn't look all that great in this game and produces weird artifacting-or-smth effects on some chapters (such as ch. 4 and 6). Really one should only use it if they're REALLY comfortable with a different fov from some other game

The tricks are mostly segment skips or glitches, rather than movement, which is what makes ME1 so good.

62 is the capped default. Higher fps than that doesn't work well for bunnyhops and other things. 50 fps is ok :P
