It seems like this game is very flexible in its movement mechanics. Like, instead of being all about running and speed like in the first game, this game seems to dive into and expand climbing and balancing. You are able to move around a lot more because of how Faith can grab onto more things and interact more while stationary. Does this game actually feel natural? I've been pretty critical about how this game is too forgiving and is more simplified than the first. This video shows me that Faith can go through a great variety of dynamic movements. The story doesn't interest me at all, and I really dislike the unlocks and gadgets, but for the movement system alone, would you recommend buying this game?

TheRealToaster2 yes if on pc, if you buy on console buy XIM4 too so you can use keyboard n mouse. Speedrunning on console is hard as fuck.

I died 15 times while trying to kill that first black guard where Noah's kidnapped, and you just killed him after like 2 hits. Now I feel pissed.

Yeah, sorry. There's nothing I can really do about it. The game just doesn't play audio when it's not in focus.

I still can't shake the feeling that spamming right click is the fastest way to run besides wall running and bunny hopping.

It's really not. We've tested it with programs that read the in-game values for Faith's current speed; shift spamming doesn't make you even slightly faster.

You do a slide-turn into the door to phase through the door which lets you hit the checkpoint on the otherside

New Game+. You play in a game file that has all the missions and upgrades unlocked, completing the missions in order with the benefit of those upgrades. It's shorter than Any% since you don't do any overworld traipsing, and the upgrades make some of the earlier levels more dynamic.

There's a proximity trigger for that popup just behind the door. Certain animations, such as quickturning while sliding or crawling backwards, push Faith's model just far enough through the door to touch the trigger, allowing you to skip the tutorial.

@@brokn621 It's just a regular old slide followed by a quickturn at the right moment. However, it's a *lot* easier to touch the trigger by crouching and then backing into the door.

Ur kinda cheating. In the game you wouldn't be able to just click on the mission and all of a sudden be there.
