I don't get it. When you get in a elevator how are you able to Jump Around also that brings more questions how are the elevators moving if the animation didn't play was there some kind of speedrunning glitch to skip the animation? If I keep on pulling up questions and and getting no answers but questions I'm going to have a very bad headache.

@@nope_not_today6077 Some lifts have a brief period where you can still move freely before it prevents actions like jumping, such as the second lift in chapter 1, however most of the time the slide glitch is utilised; performing an animation whilst spamming use to activate a button without the animation. Thusly, by jumping and pressing the 180 spin button whilst moving into an elevator, the button can be activated during the resulting backwards fall animation. If this is performed in the right spot of the lift with the correct timing, it will push you out on to the top of it.

If you are a true Mirror's Edge runner, you can tell this is bs purely off of how quickly the dialogue moves...this is just pathetic dude.

I know what you're all thinking; "what madman grinded the 1 minute train segment over and over to get the perfect dismount" , that man is me. Riding that train over and over changes a man, I started attempts as a young boi and no man has ever had to grow up so fast. When I close my eyes I see nothing but high speed obstacles flying past me, I struggle to sleep at night and I know I'll never be the same, but I hope it was worth it, just know the commitment that went into this run. like comment and subscribe

Consider the fact that so many strats go from segmented only to "can be done unsegmented" This means that this whole run might be done unsegmented at some point in time.

The Best segmented Speedrun I have ever seen in my entire life. I don't know if anything could ever top this.

You know what? This is absolutely one of the greatest segmented runs I've ever seen. Congrats to all you runners on pushing through and making this a reality. I audibly gasped several times through this. You guys are nuts, and the routes and chains used are simply absurd. Well done! This is a run I'll definitely be coming back to watch again. It's so satisfying.

Absolutely incredible. One of the best speedruns I've seen in my life, on par with Half-Life 21 as far as segmented runs go. Amazing!

I posted a meme comment, but I decided that I wanted to be actually genuine for once. Amazing job everyone. It was cool to see how much hard work everyone put into this run, and the dedication it took to complete. If only people knew the weeks that were spent grinding certain chains, haha. Hopefully one day we'll be posting a sub 20 run. With the hard work and dedication I've seen from the Medge community I think anything is possible.

lol holy shit you're right... probably is possible if you strang after the coil into the vault. Only reason we didn't use other springboard chain was because no-one could get it without reaction time, imagine trying to get this new chain haha

I understand some of these strats were very hard to do but I dont wanna hear "I cant pull off that strat in my runs". You people are some remarkable runners and the reason I wanted to speedrun this game. Ive attempted half of these strats for console and managed to do like 3. Hard work pays off. I hope to see a Catalyst segmented soon.
