Let me explain myself. I was just explaining what Duterte did to the Pope to Wendel who I thought did not know what Duterte did. It has nothing to do with praising the Pope as god. Also, my stance in this matter is neutral. I do not want to take sides since I am still having doubts on who to vote. Duterte has good leadership qualities, however there are some of his ideas which I cannot agree on.

The Philippines wasn't so lucky to have a leader like this woman, Intellectual and full of substance. Rest in peace Madame Miriam. You tried three times to be our president but God in all wisdom has plans for you and the country.

MDS is a genuine Genius when it comes to politics, kaya idol ko siya, mga marunong talga mag debate tong mga bisaya, but just like the rest, im disappointed on Digong for being "brutally prank" and "100% Open Minded", but im still hoping that kahit sino sa kanilang dalawa ang magiging President, i can live in peace knowing we just might rise and be marked on South East Asia again.

To those who have a misplaced idea of NOT picking Miriam because she is less popular than others, and think their vote will go to waste: Don't forget we have a mandate and ultimate moral obligation too to scrutinize and elect the right one. This is definitely not a fly-by-night event popularity contest. Our future hinges on the right candidate, believe me. Miriam definitely can. I can see the Philippines' next leadership need a lot of prayers. On the same token, we need to be critical of how we cast our vote. Avoid being too fixated to someone out of frustration. Just because someone is popular doesn't mean everybody is obliged to rally behind him. That is a big disservice and simply a misconception. Don't waste your vote. I will vote for MDS-BBM. I know Miriam will not win because it is a numbers game but I will vote for someone who knows the law inside and out and who tries to be impartial when judging cases. With BBM, I like his track record with Ilocos and the bills he authored. I am not a Marcos loyalist nor a yellow follower. Sadly, I even voted for Cory before, but I learned my lesson the hard way. Di na ako maniniwala sa mga promises promises. Titingnan ko kung ano ang nagawa ng tao. Huwag ibato kay BBM ang martial law dahil hindi sya ang nagpababa nito. And we must admit that after Marcos, the things they accused Marcos of also exist after Marcos rule. May human rights violations pa rin. May political dynasties pa rin. Umuutang ang gobyerno pa rin. Pero ang mga kriminal sa preso puede pala na naka aircon, may armas, cellphone, etc at puede pa rin ituloy ang krimen sa loob ng bilangguan. At least, may naipatayo si FM na hanggang ngayon ay ginagamit pa natin kaso napapabayaan na at ang iba binenta pa sa private sector.

I have only voted once in my life and that was for Miriam Santiago and only her in my ballot

Grace Poe should be allowed to run as president. In this interview, Mirriam said the requirements for President, vice president and senators are the same. Grace Poe is currently a senator and none (Supreme Court and Comelec) seemed to have disqualified her for being senator. Why would they disqualify her this time? I've seen her performed in the SAF 44 inquiry and she is very good..calm, organized and firm. At 2:51 in this interview, Mirriam seemed to avoid to answer directly when the hosts ponder further that Grace Poe did not do anything to become a naturalized born citizen. Instead, she's chosen to say that Grace Poe is a dual citizen which is past. She knew being her competitor, it will be to her advantage to say it :). Maybe Grace Poe is not as spectacular and constitutionaly genius as she is, but she (Grace Poe) seemed to have a way of her own to achieving her goals. Mirriam in this interview revealed she does not watch Filipino movies and yet proclaims International Law should not apply to the Philippines, a contrasting point of view! What would the Filipino artists, producers and movie goers say to this?

I'm surprised she chose Roxas but like she said anyone can be guilty of ignorance especially us the voting public. If we really get to know each candidate on a personal level we might dramatically change our opinions. We might end up hating the ones we love and love the ones we hate. Pagisipan talaga nating mabuti...wag tayong masyadong impulsive. We have to chose for ourselves who is best for the country and not be swayed by "personality" alone.

With all due respect, Miriam is a brilliant person. I admire her intellectual capability in laws and governance and should be the standard for all politicians nowadays. However, when she was asked why Mar, she answered "we're always been good friends in the senate". "friendship" should not be the basis of your choices especially when a nation is at stake. I agree that all of them are capable of becoming a president since they are qualified according to the constitutional laws, but not all of them have the sincerity of leading and helping the nation. How can we tell which one is which? Let their histories and accomplishments speak!
