You did a terrific job trying out various strengths and speeds. Thanks - much appreciated!
Thought to myself, "Ho-ly SHIT, he's shooting FAAASSSTT!!!" Then, realized that I still had the play speed on 1.5! 🤦♂️😂
MIRA products are amazing quality, I was skeptical when I first saw their plates, but I just got a great deal on a pair yesterday. They'll be arriving this week, can't wait. Amazing plates

@@blaynelevy6781 The plates go in a plate carrier. Plates are one-size-fits-all as are good plate carriers. Some companies will sell a slightly larger plate, but the only people who should buy those are the same people who shop at BIG AND TALL and the like.

@@iHumanist I'm aware of the one size fits all, but I have large plates issued to me and they barely had fit into my carrier, I'm just merely asking how they fit on him how do they feel
I just bought this plate for my front. I upgraded from AR500 steel. One aspect that i think people over look is that a steel plate interferes with anything magnetic such as my lensatic compass. I realized quickly while doing a gear check that landnav with steel plates is a no go. Land navigation is a basic skill set everybody should have.

Another issue with steel armor is spall coating is pretty much compromised after one hit because spall coating pretty much starts falling apart, other issue is if you want to have it as multi hit, is I recommend using spall guards because the coating isn't that great they use your typical spray on truck bed liner like rhino liner, herculiner, linex, bullet liner etc... I ordered set of these, and a set of rma defense level IV. I'm using my steel ar500 level III+ plates in my back up plate carrier I have two Russian ANA tactical m2 plate carriers and I find the ceramic tile armor better though as well.
Wow, this is amazing. After just buying this level 4 and watching all these videos proving it’s a beast, I now feel so good about my purchase! Great review thank you!

I wish they made a 12x15 flat backpack insert. That would be something more suited to everyday civilian market. Sized and flat to put in a diaper bag, laptop case, backpack, or other kind of carry bag that is discreet

@@704TACTICALWe need a new evolution of a bullet.First it was a bow and arrow, then a musket, then accurate long rifle and hand gun, then the machine gun was invented, and now the bullet is obsolete.
dang you shot like 500 dollars worth of ammo in that intro!
These seem excellent for the price point. I think i'll get a couple and another mask while I'm at it
Bought two plates at a gun show on a whim. I do have their gasmask and filters, haz suit and some other things. Definitely better than nothing
This should be able to stop 30-06 m2 armor piercing! so not too surprising results, Good bit of kit size/weight etc all the same, great test :-))
Mira got good stuff I want these plates
You don't have to shoot all that precious ammo to do your intros... I feel bad for your wallet every time I watch a new video
Has no one tried the tacticalxmen plates they stopped a 338 lapua at 10 feet i men’s there was a big dent in the back but if someone is using a smaller caliber yout living for sure and there’s not gonna be any damage on the back side
im still confused as to why they dont have NIJ cert yet
Second I dig it 😎
This is cool and all, but I think I will hold off until I get the filters I ordered a year ago lol.

This plate weighs the same as my IIIA side plates... if only the military let us field these...
@iHumanist
Жыл бұрын
Imagine if they let you field the Israeli stuff. Agilite (the main Isreali military gear manufacturer) sells Level 4+ ceramic plates that weigh 5.09 lbs, which is 8 ounces less than these plates. (The 4+ signifies enhanced protection vs regular Level 4 plates against M855A1 and M80A1.) However, they also come in at a whopping $1379 each while the MIRA's go for $249 each. And, that's why I have MIRA's in an Agilite carrier LOL

no, as far as I know, I looked at their website and it is not NIJ certified It is rated at Level 4 using the same standards but does not have the NIJ blessing. This does not discount it as bad or sketchy plates. MIRA is a reputable company but I hear that term thrown around way too much. Safelife’s FRAS had the same issue and a lot of their products finally have NIJ certification. It can take a while.
