ℹ️About the episode:
In this episode, we make our way from the North Island to the South Island, but not without a little mishap. We didn’t know what happened until the end of the episode so stick around. Turns out Wilderness Motorhomes bit.ly/KYD-Wilderness has wonderful roadside support and we should have called them first! They have service centers all around both islands to help with any problems. We’re so used to fixing our own issues, we didn’t even think about that! Now you know!
We met-up with the Perry Family. They are KYD Insiders that live on the South Island and have been helping us plan for months. Big thanks! All of the Insiders are so helpful. We couldn’t dedicate this much time to KYD without them and we never take it for grated. During SN7 we’ll be doing meet-ups with our Patreons all across the US - join us!

The only problem with that is that if a tv channel ever decides to pick them up they will also want to control the content and at some point they'll want to generate some fake controversy or drama. These videos are way better than anything on tv and I'd hate to see them get messed up like that.

I've been following your channel for about a year and have binged just about everything. I don't know how I have missed this season, but I love seeing New Zealand and how you managed travel in a new country. I have family there and would love to visit someday. Marc, I loved when you said that everything is figureoiutable. I have a sign on my desk at work that says that and I agree. Our "daydream:" is to take our vintage motohome on the road when we retire and see America. Thanks for making it seem so doable and "figureoutable"! Hapy travels

Loving it!! I watched an episode you guys made several months ago, talking about getting started, and it was perfect timing for my family. We were looking to purchase a camper trailer and the episode made me go “do it now, don’t wait for the perfect thing”. Just start”. I heard Mrs Perry say the same thing in this episode. So so true. Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of New Zealand through your eyes. I’m not very familiar with South Island, so you might give me some ideas😃

This episode brings back great memories. We rented from Wilderness Motorhomes in Dec. 2017. We spent two weeks on the south island and one of the best places we stayed was from Campable. I highly recommend Mt. Hay Station outside of Tekapo. You don't want to arrive after dark though. Also, Albert Town has a city park that was really pretty nice. We had a spot right on the river. Close the screen door! Sand-flies are vicious.

I completely agree with Brandi - I know I've said it before - you have a very entertaining professional show that could be on TV. This IS my TV because I don't watch the usual TV much. Anyway, Trish, I'm loving the sarcasm and your humor lately. Also I thought you looked so cute in those braids. We're getting ready to go (in April) on our first adventure in our first trailer. In the past, on vacations without a trailer, I've planned it all out. I'm fairly nervous about travel without reservations - which just means I'm even more impressed with your travels in another country where you look for places to stay on the fly. Wow.

You'll do fine. Remember that there are challenges with reservations too. Having to leave when you don't want to and not getting money back, etc. Just get reservations on Th-Sat during the summer.

What an exciting trip! I'm a kiwi so enjoy hearing about the differences and your enjoyment of the chilli bin 😂Interesting that our dump stations are easier to use?? Oh, the cone with the grey water pipe - glad you found Burnsco and love your attitude with a quick fix.

Too funny that Trish didn't shut the screen door behind her at 14:00 ! :) Of course, in her defense, Marc was the one that opened it.
