One thing I've noticed about Deji's face - offs is he used to come off as really cocky and say what he's going to do to his opponent in the ring, whereas this one he's kept quiet. Although Deji was giving pretty bad answers, I do think this is a better approach for Deji. Honestly hope Deji wins, becuase I feel like he has the ability, but only time will tell, come on Dej!! 💙

This. To be fair, we never know what goes on behind the scenes, but what I see is underconfident. Sure, you lost three fights, but you're portraying yourself as changed, calm, humble, and everything in between. And when he said, "He's doing this fight for himself," thats cap. To be fair, although Deji kind of looks like he's being made to do this and doesn't actually want it, he's actually done the right thing in staying low to the ground and just trying not to give Fousey the satisfaction of getting into his head. Could be some reverse psychology in there to try to frustrate Fousey by not giving him a reaction, but it also seems to be something he's learned from his last fight against Alex when he talked all that shit, raised everybody's expectations, and then failed to deliver, which is never a good look. He doesn't want to make the same mistake again this time around. I respect that.

As for Deji, yes he has lost all his fights so it's understandable that he took the silent approach but does he really have to dead it?
