the whole 50 hours is when you may go insane thing i think is also greatlyyyyyyyyyyy influenced by if you are forced to be in it or do it voluntarily. doing it voluntarily and knowing you have a doctor there and that you can really call it off if you want makes it so you can last a lot longer than if you were forced into it and don’t have those reassurances

I was trapped for days once. I had to make up stories conversation dreams and predictions out loud in order to not succumb to the panic, loneliness or boredom. I still talk to them sometimes even today

I think people forget just how much patience and strong capacity jimmy has as a person, since the beginning from when he'd make videos that were 10 hours long of him nonstop saying pewdiepie, listening to the same song on loop, counting to 100.000 etc. and then the psychically and mentally draining challenges like when he was buried alive and more. it's no surprise him doing this didn't make him insane despite studies showing it happening to other people. jimmy is simply built different haha, major respect to Mr. Beast

What people don’t get is when they say that the doc is yapping or it has to be fake because Jimmy didn’t go insane… they need to understand that this is different from a real scenario. Jimmy knows he is making content and that he’s shooting a video. That’s why he talks to the cameras to occupy himself and maybe get a sense of normality back. In a real scenario however you will just be in there… you won’t be making a video, you know that you’re not going to be watched by millions of people. Even though Jimmy is isolated, he is not FULLY isolated because he knows of anything happened he can get brought out, or he can just stop the video if he wanted at any point and just leave. Unlike reality. Also unlike a real situation in there, he’s actually getting nice food, and has soap to clean himself and has a journal and pen etc. That’s why Jimmy didn’t go “insane” and he only got a bit temporarily crazy. That’s why he was able to last for that long.

yeah man totally agreed. For me the doctor was supppeer negative bruh god damn lol, i dont know if he had to keep saying these things for the sake of the video and to make more scarier but jeez. Like have some faith that he wont go crazy, instead of always saying, this is a sign of crazy, this is a sign of paranoia, its starting to settle in now, this and that etc.

​​@Zunaw It's completely different in prison though, most solitary confinement rooms are dark dull and not at all comfy, the docs done his study on the actual scenario, rather than a brightly lit comfyish room with cameras that you HAVE to speak to as you're making a video. It is a catch 22 that he can only base his statements on what he knows rather than this completely out of the ordinary 'solitary confinement' I'd argue the guy he kept in the supermarket had more chance of going crazy than this situation. Had to edit to say and this is despite that guy having actual human interaction.

I think with the "50 hours you may go insane" could be depending if it is voluntary or not. Also since Mr Beast has done so many of these excessive challenges then he'll have built up quite a lot of mental fortitude that would mean he can hold onto sanity longer than the average person

I cant believe that mrbeast could do this for 7 days, it would already drive me insane in just a day or two.

Most of them would never even put in 5% of what it takes to take on such a challenge. Which is unfortunate but understandable

you did not feel it like a banger because it was a more real video with more sadness and truth about the pain of the challenge, also the climax was fucked because that isolation literally makes you forget about human interaction and you crave freedom more than anything, that is why the first thing he did was walk straight to a dark hall and as you see he literally did not care how his friends were he did even seem to be interested in them because that was complete isolation leads to. and thats why he just walked straight outside.

They should’ve let somebody in halfway through the challenge for about an hour to show how weird and different his interaction is , or if he’d freak out when it was time for the person to leave
