I always find myself smiling by the end of your videos. I really appreciate no intro/outro in videos, as well. The wink is *chef’s kiss* perfection. 😁

awesome - no intro, no asking for liking and subscribing, genuine/authentic content, superb editing (when there is 2 of you is my favourite way you play with the videos), no annoying and loud music that makes me watch so many videos on mute, no boring sponsor shit, calm and serene but not boring and no fake excitement like on tv commercials.

Lefie, when I first started watching utube, your channel was in my feed. I remember it was about minimalism, I live simply, so I watched and I liked and subscribed, I appreciated you didn’t ask to like and subscribe to,your channel ( it’s a pet peeve of mine) you have such a calming way about you, commercial free, and I just find you so interesting, and watching you is like taking a xanex lol your so calming . I have no interest in van life, but I watched you working on your van, i love every single video you create. I just love everything about you. Keep up the great work, and most of all the famous WINK 😉

I love that you don't have an intro/opening sequence or outro/end card thing. They are so useless really. Adds zero value for me.

I like the natural energy you have to caught our attention without needing to shout to the camera like 99.9% of youtubers do, and also the fact that you do this for hobby, keeps you real with the content and duration of your videos (I love short videos though, but I also enjoy long ones if the content is honest and not compromised by the ad revenue). PS. You asked for tips & tricks to share, so here are my two cents: I'd only say that the sound of your ambient mic has felt a little "off" on your latest videos. I don't think it's a hardware problem, perhaps just EQ on postproduction. Maybe boosting the bass a little bit would do the trick, or throwing a Compressor into the mix to make your voice clearer and louder as it is on your voiceovers. I don't really know how to improve that since I don't personally edit that much as you do, but hypothetically that might help on your audio quality :)

"It feels like a video game" I feel the same way about editing! It's one of those things that feels like a puzzle perfectly geared towards my interests. It's the part of creating videos that I look forward to the most. I can't tell you the number of times I've continued editing clips that I knew I was going to pitch just because I enjoy it.

Your organic and authentic self definetely reflects in the content you put out here. I always smile when I see you shared a video before even watching, and I think its the best reaction you can ever create in a viewer. I wouldn't say your "effortless effort" is what makes it so enjoyable to watch - because the word has lost its meaning since more people STRIVE to be effortless around here a lot lately - but it really kinda is. Maybe its because you really enjoy this hobby yourself and we enjoy watching someone who creates what she enjoys. Anyways, continue creating stuff just as it is girl and thanks for making me smile!

Your videos are what I had hoped KZread would be--authentic, creative, and inspiring, without all the slick BS. I appreciate that you don't waste the first two or three minutes explaining why you didn't upload on time, or saying "what you are about to see is the result of...", or babbling to someone off-camera. And without ads and sponsorships, yours is one of the all-too-rare pure channels out there. This is how it's done. You make 'em, I'll watch 'em.

This video was very satisfying, I've been hoping you might make a video on how you make your videos. I love that your approach to filming and editing (presentation) is minimal, while acknowledging that filming and editing take a great deal of time and energy. Your comments on intros and the obligatory "please like and subscribe" pleas of so many creators resounds with me, though this is the first time I've heard anyone else express this. The results you achieve are excellent, a testament to good storytelling and respect for your audience.

Oh, this tickled me totally. I started a KZread channel (very) recently, -initially with an old GoPro, -an iPhone 8, -and teaching myself iMovie as I went. And yes, Epidemic Sound, but no microphone! There's no Like or Subscribe request (those also uh, jar with me far too often) but I do like to wish folks well at the end - and thank them for watching (I'm always really grateful as, unless you have an interest in both my part of the World (a tiny island) and an introverted life (with lots of cats, ahem..) then I'm probably not "your cup of tea"... and my lack of experience presently runs the risk of making my channel a hard watch at the moment! 😅🤦‍♀️ Really fun - and heartening - watch Lefie, thank you!

I prefer being off camera so I'd probably make videos without narration or me in them and film other things with subtitles and crisp ambient sound like bird song, rustling, footsteps...Or Music. But minimalist and sustainable and art based content seems to be what I'd like to do.

If you don't want to keep paying for Adobe, I suggest Davinci Resolve. It has a really robust free version that contains virtually all of the features you'll need, comes with a ton of fun color tools to mess with if that's your thing, and you know free. Biggest draw back I'd say is that there's a bit of a learning curve if you're coming from Premiere
