Thank you for watching my video. I used craft super glue other than the glue come with this kit. I recommend to use craft super glue especially when glueing wires together. I heard some people used gorilla wood glue instead of the glue come with this kit. Please use this as a reference.

I was doing fine with the lights until I hooked it up to the battery box. Won’t even turn on and I’ve tried fixing what I could over and over. I was so excited and had it working until the very last step.

I got dry glue all over mine lol. That chair took me about 45 minutes to do! Monday told me that the glue made the couch look "aged and cooler" 😂

I just finished this one today. Whew. The light was a challenge, but I did it. I changed the floor, added stained strips as molding on walls inside and out, stained the base. My stain is watered down acrylic paint. I totally destroyed the chair the first attempt, so I used some fabric I have here to redo it. I just use the glue that came with the kit. I would not recommend this one as a first kit. My first kit was Simons Coffee. Much better for learning on. Correction on glue: Instead of their white glue, I use Aleenes Tacky glue.

I like to see how they make the little items to put in the house first, then setting it all up. I am always saying “ ahh fancy that or that’s how they make it. Thanks for the upload.

I'm doing this kit now. The electrical on the little chandelier is making me tear my hair out. My BF ended up soldering a plug-in wire for me after a few weeks of frustration.

3 weeks after my comment and I'm just now getting to the chair, lol. I was so confused with the instructions of how to use the paper guideline to make the "cover" for the wooden piece. Thank you so much for making this!

I also had the same problem. I found that just searching through the bags for the right pieces was easier than trying to understand the manual.

I got this and did a nook book of a train before, without prior knowledge on how too, this video has given me insight of what to expect, might just bring it with me to college and work on it there lol

I’m surprised this set doesn’t come with a victorian style “wallpaper”. Would have really set it off during final assembly as opposed to the white board.

Thanks for the video. I'm about 90% done the kit, except I've been struggling with the lighting waaay too much! I'm going to have to buy more of the wire and heat-shrink tubes, as I've had to redo them so many times. Do you know what gauge both the wires and the heat-shrink tubes are approximately? I couldn't find the information on line.

The metal gold wires, I only have two. Do I cut them in half to use them? I can’t find this answer anywhere. Thank you!

Took me 2 days but I did it, I pained the walls and floor with my own paints and it looks amazing, I ruined the armchair but it was too crowded for it to fit anyway so I left it out, the set looks amazing and it was my first one

I used to build miniature dollhouse kits but it had been a few years. I bought this kit because I love books and wanted to return to model making. I DON’T recommend this kit for several reasons. First the main two part bookcase that I tried building was missing the left side. This caused me a lot of frustration. There is no phone number included with the kit to request missing parts. So I set it aside and built the other pieces. I found that the white glue didn’t hold very well but the clear did. I bought school glue at the store which worked fine. I finished all the other furniture pieces and then tried to figure out what to do about the missing piece to the first bookcase. I ended up making a replacement bookcase from cardboard and a glue/spackle mixture to stiffen it. I now have almost completed the kit, except for the chandelier. Only I have discovered that the metal piece(s) that would be used to make the chandelier are missing too. Fortunately I found a cute, easy to build tutorial ceiling lamp on KZread and I’m probably going to do that. But I doubt very much that I will ever again waste my money on one of these kits.

I am building this right now. How long did you need for the whole thing? Did you glue the picture frames, the vase and everything on top of the shelves at the end?

You can access the battery pack really easily. Just make sure you glue the heck outta everything so it doesn’t fall apart when you tip it

Don’t know how to figure out what is what, the number labeling is difficult to understand

Mine came in but mine didn’t come with glue, paint, or batteries and some of the supplies like the rod doesn’t fit

Do you glue the bookcases to the wall or do you just place them against the wall?

The kit comes with a special glue inside the box. You must glue the pieces as they do not stick together. I don't know why this step is not shown in this video though :(. I came here looking for the type of glue that is used because I want to buy more in case I run out.

It should tell you on the bag. So bags normally have letters on them A B C D etc. The instructions should then say: glue A1 to A7 and so forth

I found each piece is color coded, like all the dark wood goes together and all the yellow, so if you separate them by that and follow along with this video, its fairly easy....fairly lol

In my kit, most of the pieces were in various bags, not the exact bags they say in the instructions. I just looked through all the bags to gather the pieces needed.

@@cieleglass502 I had that problem too. I had to search for every part through every bag. That's what caused me to fail on some bookshelfs, I had to break down two bookshelfs and put them back together🙈 I also had the problem that some wooden parts of the bookshelfs were curved and not straight

Because they sent the cheap glue for using with all materials. I used gorilla wood glue for wood and foam glue for fabric.

clear glue is silicone glue , you can find in craft store .In some country they can not ship glue and paint .

Here's how to do it: Get your sheet of paper that pictures all the pieces. Refer to picture list in instruction book and match up the pieces by holding them over the paper ones. Use a pencil to tick off the pieces you have on the instruction book. Forget about the piece "numbers", just exactly match the wood pieces to the piece diagrams. Make sure you have all the pieces for the bit of furniture you're making before you start assembling.

My bags were NOT labeled like this and the instructions are nearly useless as a result

I think because this is a model of a bookstore, not a study as it's called. So a store would definitely have multiple copies of books.
