-DIY Hair Oil and Hair Spritz: I have a condition known as scalp psoriasis, as well as a nut allergy, so I'm very careful about what products I put on my scalp which usually results in me making certain hair/skin products myself.

HAIR UPDATE:
Yes, ya'll my twists are still rockin!! The style has gotten even better with time, and it looks even more natural now! The only con I've noticed about the cuban twist hair is that when it's dry, it gets very scratchy and irritates the back of my neck. This is why it's very important to make sure to moisturize the twists regularly, and I show you an easy way to do just that (^_^). My goal is to keep the twists in for at least 2 months, so I will definitely come back and show you how I wash and refresh my twists as well…stay tuned!!
SCALP AND HAIR MAINTENANCE:
If you want any hairstyle to last a good amount of time, scalp and hair maintenance is KEY. The better you care for your hair, the longer the style will last. I will show you step-by-step how I take care of my scalp and hair before bed. I usually do this routine every 2-3 days. Please keep in mind that I also have scalp psoriasis, so my routine may be a bit more rigorous or frequent than others. But I have discovered that this routine works for me and helps keep my psoriasis symptoms at bay while in these types of protective styles.
NIGHTTIME ROUTINE:
I put my hair up in a hair tie, then take my hair down row-by row and apply the braid spray and hair oil to my scalp. I focus on my scalp and roots, lightly rubbing the products in. Then I lightly spray the twists (not my scalp) with my moisturizing hair spritz and run my fingers through the twists to work the product in. Lastly, I put my bonnet on and go to sleep. SIMPLE and EASY :)
