Hi everyone! My name is Nashae (Nuh-Shay) and welcome to my channel!
I started this channel to share the tips & hacks I've learned on my journey to a healthy hair & scalp while dealing with a scalp condition. I have scalp psoriasis, so my journey to long & healthy hair has been a lifelong endeavor. As scalp conditions become more common, people often don't know where to start, hopefully this channel will help you begin that conversation and encourage you along your own journey. I also share other tidbits of my life, so take a peek around, you may find something you'll enjoy ;)

Yessssssssssssss, I love it!!!
It’s been a little bit over a month and this install is still going strong!! A little spritz and mousse, and I’m brand new. The best part about it is the curly pieces have NOT tangled/matted!!! As you can see in the video, we were watching part one of the new season of Bridgerton ANNND she got me hooked in the Ultimatum South Africa (a hot mess 😭)! P.S I am very serious about keeping this install in for the rest of the year 🤣

Did you have a lot oh hair out when you took them down?
A lot of my natural hair? No. I kept my hair moisturized while in the twists and took my time while taking them down so there was minimal shedding.
Yesss!!! This is so beautiful; great job. I swim 4 days a week maybe more now that it is summer. Im really looking for something to keep my hair out the way. How did this hair do with water, do you think it will last at least a month with me swimming, getting my Hair wet
Thank you!! And great question!! If you get your hair wet a lot, your hair may start peeking out from the twists sooner, especially if you’ll be washing them more often. If you want them to last a month, I’d suggest finding a good mousse (or maybe even beeswax) and being diligent to apply it to the twists when you see your hair peeking through and keep your hair tied down as much as possible to keep everything laying flat. 👌🏽

How do I keep the natural hair from sticking out of the springy twist?
While install the hair, i like to use a little extra braid gel while twisting in the ends of my hair. And as the style grows out, i slick my ends in the twists with a really good mousse. I like the Camille rose spiked honey mousse. 👌🏽

You're beautiful but, I believe you crochet them in the wrong direction. The loop shouldn't show.
I would have crocheted in the other direction if this were loose hair but I wanted the base of the braids to lay as flat as possible so this direction made more sense. Looks amazing!! I’ve never crocheted so is there any reason why you don’t braid straight back on the back of your head instead of the s pattern? Thank you, I’m trying to learn before I attempt and I’ve noticed some are braided straight back!! ❤
Of course! Great question! Based on how the braids fall, I didn’t want there to be any noticeable spaces at the back of my head. Granted, the hair covers it all when it’s down, but if I style my hair a certain way, I didn’t want the spacing in the back to be noticeable. Braiding in an “s” pattern allows the hair to fall naturally and the loops lay flatter. If you braid straight back, you would have to loop the hair around the sides of the braids and that could cause bulking at the base since the loop is facing sideways but the hair is falling downward. I hope that makes sense lol.
