I’ve owned seven MINIS since 2004. Four Cooper S & two JCW’s. Still have the 2014 R58 JCW Coupe, the best one by far. The F56 wasn’t a patch on any of the previous models. It’s a shame it’s become a “brand”. It’s what they call progress, I guess.

Because there's no top mount since the first gen. If it wasn't fake, it'd just mess up airflow for the front mount.

Is the rear diffuser also real? Just never understood the fake rear diffuser trend.

Unfortunately the hood intake is fake, however there are quite a few aftermarket intakes that take advantage of the hood scoop, to make it fully functional.

How often have you changed your oil? If it was the previous generation cooper then the tensioners are powered by the oil...and if you don't regularly replace it (every 3-4,000 miles) sediments can clog up the ports and ruin the tensioners. The F56 fixed this issue.

Lov the car, but 45k for something that cant do 0-60 under 6secs. Lots of better choices at that price range..

motogp 34 depends where you live but in the U.K. you can get the JCW kit for around £2000 (doesn't include everything in this vid), plus a Cooper s - you're looking around 16-21k 👍 The jcw more but nowhere near 45k

Well FWD cars can never compare to RWD or AWD when doing 0-60 and you're missing the point of cars if a cars 0-60 determines whether you get it or not.

The rear diffuser fits badly - make sure the bodyshop has the skill to modify and not just bolt on.

What's the main message here? Should it be great to own a MINI with wild shaped plastic widened and jagged - like any other "sporty" car out there? Cooper S was a stunning (still small and light enough) drivers car, when BMW brought it. With a clean and unique styling and overall look. That new thing appears to be the solution for self-proponents and proletarians only. Pity BMW.
