My ex-son-in-law bought a dwarf pit bulls. They were so cute but one had more issues than the other. They had to eat certain kind of food. One had to see a doctor often.

From what I’ve heard, not really.. I don’t even think this video is accurate? They look like calves to me, adult highlands normally have hair covering their faces & horns. Though I could see why they might not have horns as a mini, it seems like they’re just showing videos of highland calves. Actual minis are normally bred in bad ways with inbreeding & dwarf breeding, from what I’ve heard. They shouldn’t even really exist IMO. Cows are perfectly fine at the size they normally are. If you don’t have space for cows of that size, then you shouldn’t even be getting or looking into them in the first place IMO.

They DO get bigger.. people do the same shit with mini pigs.. they are smaller than a normal pig but they are still a pig.. they don’t stay that Small for long… we have a mini highland and mini angus, they are still 500lbs or so. Still tiny… compared to a full size cow, but way more of a handful than these vids show

They may not be slaughtered but that doesn't exactly stop them from suffering. An animal that's bred to be smaller than it should be is guaranteed to have health issues, especially since teacup breeders will purposefully starve them to stunt their growth.

Also mini highland cows actually aren’t that small all the cows in the video are baby “mini” highland cows they actually grow to about 4 feet tall. This “mini” animal trend has appeared before with lots of celebrities getting “teacup pigs” and then killing them once they realize they actually aren’t mini and just a slightly smaller version of the original animal.

I hope we don’t end up with a bunch of unwanted exotic pets that aren’t was advertised, not allowed by your HOA / zoning or people just get tired of. This just makes me think of teacup and pot belly pigs. I foresee many abandoned animals and it’s not fair to them. I’ve had over 30 ferrets because people got tired of them. If people can’t commit to a ferret who they can keep in a cage and who sleeps for hours; how you they commit to a cow. Get real; this is a terrible trend.
