That newer 50's Otis gives me some nostalgia. I used to go to my mom's old workplace a lot when I was a little kid. It had this old Otis elevator we used to ride on to get to her office. It was old, she said it was from 1944, so WWII era. It even had a rotary phone in it. The noise of the door opening, closing and latching was _identical_ sounding to this. The only difference is it was single door not a double door, and it also had a little window on the door which was neat. Watching this brought back some nice childhood memories. That elevator was modernized a few years ago, and it doesn't have that charm anymore. Seriously the stuff they made back then was superior to what they make now.

I remember the video from December 2015. I'm glad they are still in great shape. In any elevator, it's not good to shake an elevator or jump in it.

yep! Any elevator (traction) jumping in it can damage it.

I remember watching the original ElevaTOUR here, it was the first DieselDucy vid I ever watched. Glad to see you filming these beastly old OTIS elevators again!

Yeah automatic gates are better than manual. For automatic gates, you obviously don't close the gate because it's spring loaded and it's connected to the door operator so when you push the button then the gate will close by itself. When the elevator arrives at the floor you chose then the gate opens by itself

It seems that people were mostley using the 1950s one because the older one looks to have not been used for a while because the wood on the doors look darker than last time you were there

It is in an office building. should be open during business hours.

How about you look on the left side instead of the right side and see if there is a third elevator
