Hello, your video just showed up in my feed. I had a dabble that looked like yours. His name was Romeo. He was a little over 15 years old. He passed away about 5 weeks ago. I miss him every day. Thank you so much for sharing your video. Right now, it is happy tears.

Aww, that wittle tongue and face.... so sweet I remember my Dachshund not liking baths, but once the gently spray of warm water glazed over her, she held still. She loved the hair dryer too just like whenever the heat kicked on, she'd lay in front of the register.

Theo is so adorable , My Doxie Fritz used try and hide when he knew he was going to get a bath! It never worked, I always won that contest!

Our Dapple was the best ! Love those eyes Theo. And when I say best, it’s best to us, not a competition to any other Doxie. They are all amazing

Honestly it’s videos like that that make me want to have a dachshund instead of other breeds. Thank you for the nicely edited video that brought hapiness to me.

I have a dapple too and he always got a bad case of the zoomies when wet - either from a bath or rain/snow. He'd also like to rub himself all over the carpets starting face first and would continue doing it until he was safely burrowed up in the couch with blankets. Now that's he my old man, over 16, we don't do baths very often and the area I live in doesn't get much rain or snow but I miss the antics of having a wet doggo going crazy.

Funny thing.. My Dachshund hates to get a bath..Hates for her paws to get wet but LOVES to swim..I live on a lake and she will retrieve as long as your willing to throw a stick for her. She dives like a Lab.. Best part of my day is watching her swim…

Hi my daschund Eric's a fan of mud but not the bath I have to dry him off before using the dog wet wipes and a stiff brush but he loves paddling in the sea

After they like to run around in circles...lol.

You have to dry his/her head first, don't leave it wet. And dry ears outside and inside. I love doxies. I already had 2 in my life ☺ They always change your mood when you are sad or cry. They are best friends!! Beautiful dog 🥰😍

Hello and so happy you have a dachshund puppy. We have a 7 year old long haired female named Skye. She came to us in 15 from a kennel in Missouri. She is so smart and quite the alarm dog. Nothing gets passed her. She is potty trained both ways on command for us and family. Take her out in any weather and tell her to go potty pee or potty poo and she does and in we go. All my little Poms and Yorkie were trained to potty too. Never have a problem ever. She stays on our bed all night with us and never gets off the bed using her steps. She is so funny too. When she gives you the stare, ypu have to think about what she wants and mostly we figure it out. She also has her Daddy tuck her in bed every night without fail which is our bed when she goes to sleep with me. He comes to bed later. She is our last pup and we hope we have her for many more years her being 7. Enjoy you pup. Trudy in PA
