Whoa. I wonder if you can make the track invisible to really recreate that

I don't know if you are aware of this yet or not, but when you right click the tracks and open up the track menu, the "Position" setting allows you to place the tracks in a much more precise way with the "Pixels" placement setting. It helps with making turns and lining up curves when the normal grid based placement doesn't seem to line up properly.

Yes. I have found that out also when playing with this mod.

A villager just minding his business, and then: "Why do I hear Eurobeat?" *Gets sideswiped by a drifting diesel locomotive*

This has been the funniest thing I have ever seen a train do

When i saw the thumbnail i thought " he's definitely gonna put eurobeat over it" then the first few seconds, bam eurobeat. I knew it. This made he vid already worth watching.

With this being a small little train mod for minecraft, HOW DOES IT HAVE SO MUCH? Like I'm genuinely so surprised that the front and back of the train are handled separately to make this possible, they could've just ignored the fact that some trains have 2 swiveling sets of wheels and just made trains follow the track in a perfectly straight line, but they didn't, and it has allowed us to do this absolute insanity.

Dude, that last one looked so cool! Like the polar express on the frozen lake, just so cool

For those who are perhaps wondering if this will work in real life, allow me to explain. In RL a train has weight (it isn't magnetized on the rails) and the combination of speed and angle would sooner cause the train to tilt and fall then perform a drift. Not to say that maybe, with just the right kind of train and just the right kind of track, that this is feasible. But don't expect someone to have the guts to try!

I guess the train would need to have a lower center of mass than usual.

That side to side motion was super smooth, and I’m also really surprised by how smooth it looked even with the transrapid until it started glitching out

Could you use this tactic and then have one track go straight and the other spilt off to a hard right or left?

The turn off part of the switch is also a custom curve, just fyi for making building switches easier

please make more of this train drifting would be asolutely amazing again just one more time pls

This immersive railroad mod truly is immersive. Drifting trains, so I guess the bogeys are coded then.

I can only imagine what this would look like coming down a winding mountain track...might have to test

Amazing. Also with the challenger, I managed to tear off one of the bogies on a big boy randomly when I left it. It didnt move, but other stuff worked on it!

The train driver be like:OH YEAH BABY, LET'S GO ON WORLD RECORD MULTI TRACK FOR 24 HOURS

I wonder if multiple locomotives could drift in tandem...

You know what you need now? A track for each link - i/e/ the front bogie of the train is on it's own track. The rear bogie of the train and the front of the first carriage are on their own track. The rear bogie of the first carriage and the front bogie of the second carriage share a track as well. And so on

I love knowing im not the only very energetic person who loves trains and is always curious on trying new stupid things- i love his content

I think that this could be some cool merch with the figure 8 with the maglev or just the diesel going around it and there could be text saying “drift track” or something!

I saw this as a little lego train track and it's cool that it works here too :)

Csx please for everyone have a look at a game called stormworks. I really think you might like it. It's hard to start off with but it can be fun. You can build YOUR own trains or one from rl.
