For that little gap once you see and you can't unsee, try putting down a pressure plate and see if that works.

have you tried curseforge? :) i struggled getting the actual launcher to but then i found curseforge and you can just look up mod names and install in the desktop app and launch whatever modded version you want it can also mod over games to if you cant find a mod on the search bar then find a zip file(shaders) or a jar file(mods) such as optifine then go to the mods folder and drag and drop. Hope this helps:)

These tracks are smoother than my brain.. Dear god

Former model railroader and former trainz afficinado tips: I reccomend having at least 1 runaround track, for convenience, and like one decent size storage track, what you got here is nearly there but usually yards are made so that you have at least one path going straight through it too. I get you arent goung for realism but for operations its usually more convenient. I hope to see maybe some switching puzzles or industrial rail lines from the transition eras, if youre accepting ideas Luna over and out!

Try using the golden spike to align the switches to guarantee that it will always line up with the placement grid.

3:35 There's this handy tool called the Track Exchanger. Just select a birch railbed on it and right click an existing bit of track to change it. Can also switch track types and gauges

To be honest I think you should make another yard on the other side of the tracks

The best things for a fright yard are a turntable to change your engine's direction, and a loop line so they aren't stuck in the back of the yard. Edit: Make the main line track a double track with switches so trains aren't constantly blocked from the yard shunter using the loop line

They should add a device that’s just a block or something to this mod that you place down and it’s like a minimap of all your track and you can choose a switch track and it would connect to that switch but it would change from a block to a big lever or something.

You putting the switch levers perpendicular to the diverging axis activated my fight or flight response and I am a flightless bird. Now you can't tell which way the switch is set at a distance.

i actually recommend against doing such long pieces of track because what if it blows up and a train is over it, well oof, also fun fact you don't have to shift click the golden spike, you can uncheck the blueprint option and it'll place it instantly done (make sure you done your changes before hand.) also recommend turning require solid blocks off in debug

@@csx42 the noise made from a switch as hurd in most things are actually squeaky switch stands/levers and not the tracks. But yes, it does add character
