Sebastian, I suggest you add engines from the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Give the train, now,

Fantastic! A few notes: 1) There's a bug with really long slopes that can be fixed with Config > damage > requireSolidBlocks = false 2) You can change the speed unit in the config to MPH 3) requireSolidBlocks makes it so you can put track on slabs, paths, etc... I'm hoping to fix #1 in the next update

It's too late. He can't be stopped. He's going to use the Immersive Railroading mod to further abuse trains and we can't do anything about it.

I believe the breaking comes from the trains traveling into unloaded chunks so if you had a mod with chunkloaders that kept the chunks loaded at all times, merhaps that wouldn't be happening anymore?

Having a large preloaded map on a robust server would be the best thing you can do

@@megamiana-spaceforcecomman705 Well yea a preloaded, permaloaded map on a remote would be the best but in term of just getting it working in singleplayer I think chunk loaders would do the trick

If the devs of the mod now added a setting that let all locomotives go up every hill as if it was flat ground, you could remake the polar express route.

you could do that by changing the slope multiplier in the config

If you want to maximize speed without being too steep, you need the ramp to be as close to a brachistichron (i forget how to spell it) as possible.

@csx42 if the S-2 class was made by Lima Works and is the same class as the 765 and the Pere Marquette then you where right all along. FYI, the Pere Marquette is the locomotive that they used in filming the Polar Express movie.

you should get a mod that has world anchors. that way you can keep all the chunks loaded. it should prevent the sudden train stopping that you're experiencing

I dont have the ability to mod or make mods till I get a computer but if I get the mod and a way to make a train I will make a train with max speed that the game can handle max speed rev so it goes up fast and max strength so it pushes the stopper no matter what and the weight to let it do anything so its perfectly customized to you and try my best I never made mods before but I love your vids and wouldn't mind doing this for you in the future
