My suggestion for mob-proofing any of the 3 dimensions is to set your difficulty to peaceful (unless you're in Hardcore). That way you can place down the blocks that prevent mob spawning without loosing your patience by being attacked by mobs. Then again, if you aren't bothered by being attacked by mobs while doing so, then be my guest to do so without changing the difficulty

I know that in the video using gravity blocks helps mine for Netherite, but something that has gotten me a crap load of Netherite is making tons of beds and traveling down to y level 15 in the nether and just exploding the beds down there. That works sooooo good for me and i got a full set of Netherite gear in NO TIME

Another thing you can build in the end is the UNSC Pillar of Autumn with the Halo Theme on. Or a Halo Ring. Both are great like the death star.
