Those sinkholes are literally real geological features in real life, and they're called "calderas", though real caldera volcanos have a few slight differences.

14:00 not only to mention this village generating in a cave so low, but also it is one of the rarest villages by being abandoned. It's around 1% to find one iirc.

I mean, EVERY Minecraft seed is one of a kind, but go on Edit: according to replies, you actually *can* get exact duplicates! Very cool, now someone show me an example…

Fr tho imagine my luck spawning in a desert/Mesa right by an ocean. If I tried swimming to a better place I would starve, same thing for running. And if I walked long enough, it would turn to night and I would die. Probably the worst seed I will ever encounter

Just take everything you need for the enderman farm then build a structure and with an end chest you can just jump into the void

Extremely simplistically, the weirdness noise that causes sinkholes is crucial to bring the preliminary surface height, or an approximation of the actual surface height, down to below y=-64. When this happens, if an internal structure generates in the chunks where the preliminary surface height is below y=-64, that particular structure can skip the biome check, thus allowing it to generate in more peculiar conditions.

4:55: True, but it's still possible to get the portal lit since when the ender dragon dies, a "new" portal is made, you never really see it as a new one though because all it does is add torches and the portal blocks. But if you place some sort of block above the current location of the portal, the new portal will generate on top of that placed block.

So you have to beat the dragon twice? I was actually wondering if you couldn't just fill in the area the portal spawns, to get it to go on top. I've never heard of this phenomena before, so I was just curious.

That's not how it works, it tries to lit the existing corrupted end portal regardless of how many blocks you place on top of it

One time i played a long solo game that was only the snow biome. I intentionally spawned the seed, and called it "The Lonely Grey Void".

Hey, I recognize you!

When I was playing Xbox 1 legacy edition, I used a seed like "mushroombiomeplease" or something like that. It had 3-4 woodland mansions very close to spawn (within around 1000 blocks). I also found the seed "uiop" in 1.16 bedrock edition generates you next to village or desert temple (i forgot), and then if you look in the distance, you see a desert well. If you look in the distance from that, you can see another village. It keeps going for around 5 villages, 5 temples, and 4 wells.

17:50 This trade is also in the version 1.8, it got removed in 1.9 by being replaced by an ender pearl trade. Currently the fastest time achieved in versions before 1.9 is on 1.8 with villager trading.

For seed that you can not get out 8:43 you can leave the world in join back in it will give you 3 second if no damage keep leaving the world and join but you still have to break stone.

14:50 without a doubt my favourite seed. There is something so menacing and mysterious about this sinkhole, yet it is so inviting, just waiting to be explored

Sinkholes were a really cool terrain feature, I wish they were still a thing.

Imagine entering the end from a different, completely normal portal and getting elder guardian jumpscared on entry

I’ve seen a larger Mushroom Island! It was a few months ago, but it took me like 7 minutes to fly through it completely! Sadly I don’t have the seed, as It was on a server that I didn’t have access to /seed on. (It was also right next to spawn, like the edge was about 400 blocks from world spawn)

This felt like a Whole movie the editing is so well done

The sinkholes reminded me of how dungeons used to spawn on the surface of deserts. Those were my favorite and i miss them

I really love super rare and unique seeds in Minecraft, they're such a fascinating oddity of procedural generation in my eyes. So this video was definitely worthwhile.

The large sinkhole seed with villages generated down there are phenomenal !

When generating worlds in Creative on my modded version, I had a village near spawn with a mountain, and in the mountain was a crevice that led into a stronghold!

honestly the most cow spawns one was pretty cool for me but overall great video

If you look very closely at the terrain next to the sandstone paths at 14:04, you can see a massive tuff iron vein right next to the player, which makes this seed even more rare.

only got into modern versions of minecraft recently, I thought the sinkhole was part of caves and cliffs from how wild and quick it'd get you from the cliff straight to the deepest caves, wild seeds

This actually is great timing because in my world, I've just found a tall tree surrounded by a large crater, looking like a world tree, in a jungle biome.

Sinkholes can still generate in bedrock edition (though they tend to be much smaller)

It would be cool to see a video on large-biome generator seeds. For example I found a 1.20 large-biome seed with a mushroom island around 6.5k by 4.5k blocks with a huge lake containing an ocean monument in it, connected to another 1.5k by 2k mushroom island (1408987488797068114).

I once spawned in a swamp floating above a giant hole and in that hole there was a mineshaft and below that was a stronghold I no longer have the world but it was something I found on PS3 found it really cool.

Once i actually found a village which generated in a sinkhole-like structure in the deep dark, in bedrock. I forgot the seed, but i'm pretty sure there were a few houses at about y-30 at the deepest, looks a lot like the one in 14:00

I have no proof to back my claim, but I once made a Minecraft world for my friends and the spawn was something like X = 2100. It was on bedrock. Not sure the odds

That desert village reminds me of when I found a desert temple in my 2+ year hardcore world that spawned at the bottom of a huge cave and the chest room was cut off by bedrock.

Minecraft world generation is odd and also pretty interesting at the same time lol

I remember actually discovering a seed with a stronghold at spawn (and open to the surface) by myself in some early version of the game (probably 1.3 or 1.4 or something), so it seems to be not that rare. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore because the forum where I posted it shut down one day.

I am pretty sure how End Island generation works would be that it generates blobs of End Stone that would then be cut off by boundaries. But for islands with no End Stone, none of the End Stone generated within the boundaries, and thus every potential island in the main area would be cut off. Have the main End generation expand in any direction, there may be islands where they once weren't, and expanding the island generation in any vertical direction may reposition the exit portal to be enterable.

I had no idea that the sinkholes were a glitch. I've been playing on 1.19.2 the whole time and thought it was a really cool feature of Caves & Cliffs, I found quite a lot around mountains, many of them entirely dripstone.(I assumed they were collapsed dripstone caves) Now I wonder if there's a mod that returns them

I once found an ocean monument under a village well on pocket edition. I was so young and so inexperienced that I thought it was normal. I think that was also the first time I ever saw an ocean monument.

I had a bedrock world that spawned me at roughly around those -1800 and 4300 its been a few years since then

14:00 Is probably like the most unlucky random seed spawn you can ever have, like there is no wood at all and barely any blocks you can pick up, and the village is an abandoned one too 15:20 Also imagine trying to find the stronghold with ender eyes and you just encounter this abomination of structures
