In his video on the cannon he explained that it needs a powdered snow block over the target to stop the payload midair, hence why he was only able to use it in no man’s land (the only place he could get a powdered snow block to)

As one of the participants in this video, this was an AMAZING experience. For two weeks, I played Minecraft for 16 to 18 hours per day, my sleep schedule was totally messed up, and I had the mentality that everyone was better than me (which is true). The event was a blast because you meet and play with people who are literally geniuses at the game. Also, congrats to everyone who was involved and I hope you enjoy the video! May we meet again :)

While it certainly is impressive, the orbital cannon doesn't launch that many tnts to the target, making it better suited for precise base destruction than player kill

Actually, I came here from that one Cubicmetre video where he mentioned participating in Sip's civilization event. His orbital strike cannon (And the insane water bunker they had) was definitely the highlight of the video to me and I was definitely rooting for Green to win the whole way through. Surprised how well that cannon works even in a tight survival mode scenario but I was sad Cubic never unleashed its TRUE potential - its nuclear capability. His cannon has the ability to launch a nuke-like TNT barrage on top of the humungous hole it can dig, surprised he didn't utilize it in here.

@@kumeater sipover had opportunity to let real power imbalance happen, which would not only be more authentic (and fun cuz its a nuke we all wanna see it go off), but would create some genuine suspense over whether brains or brawn can win. nah actually children have the attention span of a goldfish, they won't be able to follow multiple plots without rooting for one side so let's make this random guy the main character, give him 15 layers of plot armor (and he still died)

Blue Team really pulled some 200 IQ moves with that doomsday strategy, coming back down with full resources while everyone has already been fighting for a while. Well played

green's literally impenetrable bunker was insane, and so was blue's strat of just fucking chilling in orbit while everyone else nukes each other and then steamrolling the remnants

It's crazy how blue won with such a simple yet effective strat. Their leader really said that they'd come up with a move that wasn't boundary breaking but still out of the box. This was an awesome video and blue's win at the end was definitely deserved

@@doktor69420 That's called strategy. If every war was fought just by everyone charging in then the side with the most skilled fighters and most numbers would always win. Blue knew that when it came to PvP, they'd loose, especially against red with ferre and purple who all of them were stacked. So they chose brains over brawn. Why fight a battle you know you'd lose Headon? It was simply a well thought out battle tactic, that's why they deserved to win. It wasn't them being cowards, they were just being smart.

Green’s stasis chamber was an amazing idea, and they definitely would have won in a scenario where boarders weren’t a factory. Blue’s idea of removing players for as long as possible with a tnt cannon was also insanely creative and a great idea overall. These were all some pretty amazing civilizations, some of the best I have ever seen. Amazing video.

@@Mindless0 Okay, well at least going off of what cubic said in another comment, the rule was specifically "the borders won't move if people are fighting," so green sent a bunch of people in to fight, and then he moved the borders anyway while doing nothing about blue. I would count that as changing the rules to make the borders more of a factor than they should have been.

The fighting was happening in mid and we knew borders were gonna move inwards, green just lost a gamble You shitting on Blue for using a good strategy and then saying we somehow didn't participate in PVP despite having over a third of the final kills is just ridiculous

@@Mindless0 Blue's strategy was fine, I actually like it. I just don't understand why they were allowed to do the exact same thing green got nuked for. At least according to cubic, he told green explicitly "if you guys are still fighting and engaging with the game, I won't shrink the borders" which green did, and lost quite a few people doing so. He then shrank the borders anyway, and did nothing to the fact that blue wasn't fighting at all, despite telling green that they had to fight or else. I just don't get why one of these strategies was accepted but the other wasn't.

i would really love to see a version of this where the border doesn't shrink after the walls open so technical, well prepared teams don't get overrun in the end by the pvp'ers. This would also make the end battle more interesting as it could go on for several days and pleyers could come up with some long term tactics and some sick plays instead of just plain old pvp

This was so interesting to watch. Especially since it had a ton of players and a lot of them were very experienced with the game. It just made it so much more interesting to see what could be made from one block in the sky. I'm excited to see more videos like this and I'm definitely going back to see some of the older ones. I like how balanced this type of server is, where the smartest players can build orbital nukes, and the strongest pvp players can survive a direct hit once

This is the first Sipover vid I’ve watched and I really thought the title was just clickbait… until I saw all the jaw dropping builds, redstone contraptions etc and I ate my words real quick

Most PVPers on doomsday died to border, void or TNT, and since blue was mostly avoiding fights they were able to clean sweep the ending, GGs and thanks for hosting Sipover!

This was a wild event to be part of (I'm SkyePK), from building the storage systems to helping us get strength potions, to building that device to harvest the middle oneblock, it felt like every time I logged on there was something else to help with, even if I died quite soon in doomsday, I had a lot of fun with it

Late to the party, I was rooting for green and blue. Both had cool builds and but more importantly awesome tech like the tnt orbital strike, the impenetrable doomsday bunker, the lava casting maching, pearl cannons and much more that eventually outsmarted the pvpers. I initially thought that civilization events would all end up as a massive bridges competition but this time the brains took out the brawn. And huge respect for blue's ingenius strategy of just chilling in orbit while the other teams fought it out. Many people didn't like blue just camping it out, but I feel it was just sheer strategic ingenuity that propelled them to victory. Massive respect to all the teams. It was super fun just watching the teams push each other and the game to its limits. Hopefully we see more of these kind of events.

A lot of this 'competition' seemed kind of ad hoc with the host making things up on the fly to suit his need for footage.

This was some banger content. Hard to believe what the great minds of YT can output in such little time

making an orbital cannon in response to ferre simply existing is the most human response possible

having cubicmeter is like having the modern day einstein on your team

While I didn’t play as much as I would’ve liked during the event, the time I was on the server for and even just talking to my team members was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in Minecraft. Amazing video, it’s a great summary of what happened over these 2 weeks. Great job red team and everyone else who participated!

If you had my squad playing, it'd stay one block the entire time cause we'd just goof around like real players.

Interesting how all of these videos set a new precedent for the next one. The stasis chamber that allowed green to win in the previous video became a unanimous feature this time around. I imagine the player canon is going to be a big one next time too. I only wish that cubicmetre's TNT canon got more use during Doomsday. I think a big innovation in next video is going to be a precision player-canon that doesn’t require ender pearls. That way it is possible to rain down on the enemy while still maintaining a stasis chamber.

Wow this is by far the best MC Civilization video I’ve ever seen. I swear this game has the biggest brained people despite it being essentially a children’s game. Just mindblown. 🤯🤯🤯

What I like most is the colors represented how the groups played Purple was wealth (In ancient times purple was a symbol of wealth as it was extremely rare and often dedicated to the royal family) Red was violence Blue was defense And green was technology

These builds are absolutely mindblowing! Ik this Is a game but the ingenuity of humans never ceases to amaze me, they came up with stuff I didnt even know was possible and that sculpture of a human green team made was just amazing🔥

I knew things were about the go down the moment I saw cubicmeter on the screen. Bro actually built his orbital strike cannon in the event ☠️

I love how its always the most outside the box thinking that wins these. Anybody can copy an insane redstone design or train like crazy for PVP, but strategies like a human cannon to avoid the chaos is really what makes the difference.

14:37 - yeah, i think he's earned that, man literally survived an orbital strike tnt cannon on a one block server.
