Or inform stone about their massive pitfall trap they set up at their border that they didn't bother to retreat back to and instead chose the most indefensible structure in stone. Additionally, it was kinda frustrating that they acted like cowards when against only 5 players when they had like 11 or 12 people.

Very much a traditional, liberal-bourgeois revolution, that one. And if you're referring to the USSR or Maoist China? Well, both those instances, with their vanguard parties and top-down 'state socialist' setup, very much retained hierarchy and centralized leadership, too. No, if we want something like this here in history? We'd have to look towards Nestor Makhno's Ukrainian Free Army. Or perhaps the Zapatistas in Mexico. Or the Rojava. Or the CNT-FAI... There's plenty of examples, really. But this is more anarchism - in the ideological sense, not the pop culture one - than it is communism.

That lethal parkour challenge was the most unfair thing I've ever seen in a Civ challenge. Maybe if a bridge formed once someone finished it would be okay, but the fact they'd have to do it each time just to enchant made me think Sword must have a personal vendetta against Stone Age.

Nah, Ice was stupid and stone got played. Ice split their forces when attacking the enemy, sabotaged their own traps, never defended, and also ignored their best defensive territory(the ice pit). They tried to defend a base that iron could basically just walk through. They constantly ran away and split up instead of unifying and actually defending. This meant iron could pick them off one by one. They also wasted their snowballs doing nothing, but ruining their own trap. Stone did try to defend, but was basically played. They were split from the very beginning, slowing their growth. They lost to many people on the enchanting table than what should have been acceptable. Then they lost the best advantage they had because Ice were cowards and ran immediately instead of holding the line. Ice truly embodies defeat in detail.

Making it so only very skilled players could get enchants in stone plus once the bosses were done with for the other civilizations they could go in and out as they please when stone had a deadly threat every time they went to enchant.

I doubt it, but still cool to think about. Also love how the Irons Coordinated-Uncoordinated Leadership ACTUALLY worked, while Stone’s Attempts at Coordination actually screwed them. Sure Ice had bad coordination too (the snowballs resulting in the trap being useless), but Stone was way worse off, with the disaster and election. Really cool how things played so uniquely on this one!

I mean...stone was clearly the weakest. I am not saying Ice was in a dominating position, but stone was fucked over super hard by their ridiculous enchantment table challenge (there is a reason they "won" the build and got a free enchantment table). Also Iron was led by Airo. They could say "we decided as a group" until the cows come home, but its clear as day to anyone with half a brain that anytime Airo "suggested" anything everyone else would suddenly be "suggesting" the same thing.

So I think the biggest issue that the teams encountered was that they kept running when up against the Iron Age rather than fighting. They gave up strong positions that would have helped them in favor of falling back to weaker ones which they couldn't defend or simply never build to defend. Additionally I think some wasted their advantages, like for example I think the Ice Age civilization should have taken advantage of powdered snow a bit more. It would have been fairly simple for them to imitate the trap from the temple using powdered snow and stalactites, which when coupled with their leather boots would have allowed them kill a few players.

It's ridiculous how Ice and Stone lost to Iron that quick. 1. Stone already has the most easily defendable base. if only they knew not to group up in one place. They should'v been the ones building watch towers from different sides of the mountain and could'v survived longer. With some buckets of lava, they could'v win too. That mountain was a stronghold with the right ideas. 2. Ice had the best trap literally under their noses. They could'v retreated to where their enchantment table was. That snow trap would'v worked perfectly against the Iron and their aggressiveness and it could'v taken a big chunk out of their number. With the advantage of their fur boots, Iron wouldn't even see it coming. All they had to do was to regroup in that pit. They got plowed by a bunch of barbaric communists while they have the most advantageous locations.

53:36 it would have been better to use the ice temple's pit trap as an ambush site. By making a circle guard just out of line of sight from the stairs, it would make the attackers jump to the ground, falling through the powered snow and dying. any attacker would have to make it PAST the circle guard in order to fight safely, however knockback aspect would push the attackers into the trap.

And then people come in with more advanced tech and better communication, send ice packing to earth, and so ice and earth make an incredible alliance in the most fortified base on the server. . . that is also easily beaten :\ wait this story feels familiar. . .

honestly, after they lost the battle at stones main base instead of retreating to their second base they should've went to ices temple instead and walling off 2 blocks away from the powdered snow with multiple layers of blocks and fought on the powdered snow killing the most eager of ice and picking some off in the confusion. and since they split off the alliance of ice and stone could've killed the majority bring it to a far more favorable match up although if they withdrew from attacking and waited for backup and some ice/stone decided to attack they outcome more or less would be the same

It was an amazing event! The build from the stone age was amazing! 100% deserved build comp win. Really sad about the fight between the ice and iron age, so much chaos made us lose so many players until eventually it was an impossible battle to win. It was amazing to be a part of though! Will definitely try to join the next one for sure!

nah other teams had easy access to armor equivalent to what iron had to grind mining for and only have a normal place to defend with the invasion event ice couldve use the powdered snow to survive the invasion better cave had the height advantage but iron was on plain ground also that alliance aswell in the end and they still won and thats without a leader

LT5 is literally the best player and deserves to get MVP in this event. When he was the last player standing, he killed one iron all by himself in a 1v1, then almost killed two in a 1v2, and then fought till his last breath against 22 of the iron team even trading 1 for 1 at the end. I think he couldve literally clutched if the whole iron team just only did 1v1s against him, mightve clutched all the way to facing AiroKun as the final boss. Truly an hourable death that any viking would be proud of, deserving a spot in Valhalla. Nicknamed The Frienzied Duelist. In terms of team awards its obivously Iron since they fully cooperated in being a democratic nation with no designated leader. Their base mightve been called the Iron Guard, but they ruled with an iron fist, and they dominated as The Iron Legion. For the most dangerous player, its AiroKun since i saw some clips of him taking down so many players by himself in the midst of the chaos. And he found a way to avoid many deaths with the pitfall trap near the end of the event. Making him quite difficult to trick in battle. He should be nicknamed The Bloodlusted Conqueror of Destruction. He also busted through Ice's defenses with no fear even when his team hesitated.

I think a cool idea that Iron Age should’ve done would’ve been to do a siege on stone and ice. They were trapped in the mountain, if they fortified the surrounding area and just waited them out it could have worked much better I think

It seems that the natural pathing for human attack strategy is to scale the high ground. So if one would want to set a drip stone trap, you would have to either place it in that pathway or manipulate the landscape to trick players into falling.
