It's Lego and these sets are mostly built out of large bricks, not like Star Wars, Architecture or Creator, where they are using many small pieces to get many details into the sets. Large bricks are simply heavier than small ones and they're more expensive to produce because it's more plastic. And they're not using stickers in the Minecraft sets. Everything is printed onto the bricks, which is also a bit more expensive than just using stickers.

So about the item frame. The reason it’s so big is because in Minecraft when you put an anything in the frame it shrinks it to match the size of the item frame. Since you cant do that for the items irl they had to make it bigger. FYI

minor correction about your complaints about the creeper mine set: as you pointed out yourself, it is near mesa and gold generates up to 255 in mesa biome making the gold ore in the surface mineshaft possible

I actually like the gold mineral, it's much better then a single block with a sticker, you can actually pretend to mine it and get the ores.

Does anybody else remember the micro sets of lego minecraft? They were small sets based on the biomes in the game and were all cubed and really did look like a miniature biome from the game. I'm just kinda surprised they never became as much of a success as the more modern sets.

Items never used to float, in fact you could use this to your advantage combined with ice to make high speed pipes in vanilla back in the day, so maybe they designed these on an old version? Everything else seems pretty laughable, though.

He's saying that all of the tools are mono-colored, so, the diamond pickaxe appears to be made with diamond-coated sticks. That's forgiveable, though, all lego accessories/weapons are like that.

The most inaccurate thing about Minecraft Lego is the fact that the characters are too tall. A typical Minecraft player is 2 blocks tall. But acorrding to most of these builds, the characters are at least 3 blocks tall.

I've use LDD to try and get the correct scale. Their blocks are 2x2, making 3 blocks the height of a minifigure. My blocks are 3x3, making 2 blocks the height of a minifigure.

i remember a nice mossy dungeon and spawner spawning above ground near a beach in one of the builds. Only saw it once in eight years of minecraft (been playing longer, just am counting back being on that server). The spawn level was around 70.

Well sure. For a while you can hypothetically get gold from above the creeper mine and drop it down. There are still two things wrong. 1. The creeper farm would have to be pretty much right next to a mesa mountain for it to be viable at all. 2. As soon as that mountain is mined clean you'll often find yourself walking to the bottom of the base, with the only plausible exception being elytra use.

The reason why the cake is a circle is because the character is supposed to hold it, and cake is circular in the minecraft inventory

There used to be lego sets that were set in a miniature biome, every block was 2 1x1 plates stacked on top of each other. These sets had a scale that much more represented the scale of the game. But i think they went a different direction because they wanted more play features for children. While the miniature sets don’t have much of a playable possibility because of they’re tiny scale.

The furnace scale is a reference to forge mob modding because it uses a furnace as a one block reference

About the lego minecraft cake it may be a circle in some sets but i found in the fox house set and probaly others are squares

A minor thing but it kinda bothers me how _tall_ the Enderman minifigure is Obviously Endermen are meant to tower over the player but in-game it’s about an extra block higher than you whereas in the sets they made it nearly twice as tall as the Steve and Alex minifigures

Minecraft really does need a tan color for wool it would be so much more helpful in the game to design that. Especially since I am trying to constuct a wool village.

Y'know, lego is highly restricted in designing their sets. Minecarts and beds are so big because of the size of the minifigures, and item frames are so big to fit the items. With impossibly detailed sculptures like the chicken and the creeper, they could be using map art or mods, and that mushroom was probably added so that part of the build wouldn't be completely barren.

If Minecraft sets were built to incorporate mods, they would look way cooler. No way is that a real possibility. A barren area can be filled with much more than just an illegal mushroom. They've redesigned Lego minifigures for other sets before, so that's a bad excuse for the awkward beds and minecarts.

actually, the texture for the killer bunny is also the texture for the snow bunny, this gave me a mini heart attack when I first found one of those snow rabbits XD

As someone who actually tried to build a Lego set in Minecraft, it’s insanely hard (I’m still happy with it mostly because it’s better then anything I could make) it’s the ninja hideaway or something set

The thing about the banner is that technically yes it’s not in the game but can be made in the game

Also the red mushroom is actually possible if it's in night time and also if you set it to day time it's possible

the reason for the beds being so long is because a minifigure is three blocks tall

1:11 - I fixed the minecraft cake kinda! first, take out a 2 by 2 brown lego plate, then put 1 by 1 brown lego plates on it diagonally. do the same with 1 by 1 white tiles (place it on the 2 by 2 brown plate). then get the white 2 by 2 plate with a stud in the middle (I forgot what its called). then put some red dots on it and get a 1 by one red lego tile and put it on the stud. and there! you have a legal Minecraft cake!

I love how he wore gloves like the legos were contaminated

8:12 If I'm not wrong, items used to sink in water. The LEGO sets are ridiculously outdated, they were made a long time ago.

​@@emeraldbat6730 yeah true but lego sets are typically designed months in advance with very little help from the rights holders which means that lego typically doesn't find out about changes until we do by which point design for the set is almost certainly done

as a mc veteran, i’m disappointed in myself for taking so long to figure out why the cake looks weird in the thumbnail...
