it is a representation of late capitalism with eugenics concepts. earn just the necessary to survive until the next day; try to get to the top, but ironically the people who are at the top were born there; people at the top cheat and are not condemned, but those at the bottom are condemned if they do the same; you try to climb to the top, but a simple mistake makes you lose everything; 16:28 you surrender and accept to work an average job and never try to get to the top again; he clearly could be in the top society, he has talent and tries hard, but that's not enough if you weren't born there, 25:13 even if you are better than the people who were born there; 29:59 people at the top make less effort and earn more rewards, in fact they accumulate capital (food in this case) unnecessarily; 35:56 this is a reference to the bourgeoisie, you never see them frequenting the same places as the lower classes, unlike the petty bourgeoisie (parkour pros); near the end, society enters a cyclical crisis very common in late capitalism, so drastic measures are taken, the parkour noobs no longer receive food, the parkour pros lose several permissions, it's the beginning of a fascist dictatorship

I find it very interesting and realistic how the system itself makes the people in the higher classes inherently aggressive to those lower on the food chain. The wealthy not only oppress the middle-class to do their dirty work, threatening anyone with death should they step out of line, but also themselves by imposing arbitrary restrictions that make their own lives harder, threatening their reputation instead, only to put the rest of the elite down so they can feel superior to those who would dare to deviate from the status quo. Then the the pros' middle class, mimicking the oppression they are personally subjected to onto the noobs, both because they've been conditioned by the system to act like that but also because they are likely to see the lower class as a threat, should they climb up the social ladder to "steal" their position of power or even surpass them and become their oppressors, even though that is realistically nearly impossible. That's just the cycle of oppression capitalism perpetuates, and the to think there is so much depth in this critique makes the fact this whole story is in a video about a Minecraft Parkour Civilization a whole more impressive. Talk about a weird media being used for great storytelling.

Unironically one of the most entertaining videos i have ever watched on this platform

I think being a pro is the best option. Not easy but not hard jumps, house customisations, work to practice. Definitely the best you could have!

I generally dislike Minecraft videos nowadays because I’ve grown up and drifted away from this kind of content but I actually enjoyed this video. The story in this video is actually really well written and it has a great structure. Good voice acting, fun characters, interesting twists in story and it kept my attention for almost 2 hours

Well honestly it would've been fine as long as he stayed at pro level. They were just like "ok fine. It's not ideal but it's better for him to exist so people don't get suspicious." It was evbos greed that killed the economy.

I have to admit it. It's 3 a.m. and I'm watching the parkour civilization in Minecraft. It's a cinematic (on a YT scale) masterpiece. Even though many of the events that I saw in this movie, I also saw in others (by this I mean the events taking place in the script, such as the character's leveling up, his development, the fight against the biggest enemy called the boss, the misguided fall and the help of a mysterious person) it was still very engaging to watch. And I'm not even kidding. As a movie buff, I've seen a lot of movies, so I'd say I can say something about it. I watched it with emotions, tension and hope for a good end. Unfortunately, I can't give this video more love than just liking and commenting, and possibly subscribing. So I do it. I hope this comment doesn't get lost, although I'm glad to see them all under this fantastic video. I just want to tell you, Evbo, that you did a great job and I don't know how much a word from a stranger on the Internet means to you, but well, I still wanted to leave it here so that my emotions could see the light of day as well. P.S. The entire film had great threads and the entire plot held together. However, if I were to say, in a completely non-hater way, what I noticed while watching as content that I would love to see developed, it would be: - God's thread, why he chose Evbo instead of coming down to earth himself - Why was it the person we saw in the main character's memory that chose the people and where they came from, and not the champion? Why was this memory of him included even though he was just a master? What was his connection to the champion? And how on earth did he transport the character we are watching to the arena? It seemed a bit crammed in there unnecessarily. - What role did the master who helped Evbo play in all this? How did he know this, he had the totem of undying, and why couldn't he do it himself? - And finally, ironically, about the end of the film. I understand that it was already long and the director wanted to end it, but it seems to me that in the last minute of the material a lot happened that could be explained and threads that could be developed. Although it gives a vibe of hope, good ending, some kind of summary and who knows, perhaps this is a gateway to the second part? Well, I'm counting on it :)

I laughed out loud when I saw "it's 3 a.m. and I'm watching the parkour civilization in Minecraft" because that's literally what's happening to me right now. It's 3 o'clock and I have to go to work tomorrow but I watched a two hours of surprisingly tense and one of the most interesting pieces of Minecraft content I had seen in a while. It's such a dumb premise that you just can't hate it. It's a pure nonsence at first, but if you accept the sheer bizareness of the setting (like the apparent inability to make 360's or backward jumps which were written mostly as gags at first but later became a plot-relevant pieces of setting), the actual plot is pretty decent. Like, yeah, it's definitely flawed and I comepletely agree that there are a bunch of points that seem like afterthoughts (because, I think, they were - like the whole "friendly master" thing had zero setup and felt like team wrote the script on the go at least up until some point) and I really expected to see some sort of rival character to the protagonist (instead of just the BBEG), however, I would lie if I would say that I disliked it. Quite the opposite - It's just a silly fun with some interesting concepts springled in. Maybe that's just what my sleep-deprived brain tells me or maybe I do really feel like it, but I would rate it "three 360's into two backwards" from "five three-block-far ice" jumps

However, I don't think that it was your sleep-deprived brain that think this is cool, but the quite opposite - the expectations from a Minecraft movie were so low, that the reality broke it here. It has a lot of cheap moves, that everyone already know, but the are popular because they're working, and building up the tension.

This is some genuinely good storytelling. The pacing can be a bit wierd, as much of it is recaps since it was previously a shorter form series, but there have been some twists I was not expecting. The foreshadowing is also subtle, but very effective - and since i assume the audience was younger, the flashbacks to where it was foreshadowed work. Flawed, but still very entertaining. 7/10

dude… this brought me back I was bored as hell and decided to watch this video, but it really surprised me. It felt just like those old Minecraft story videos I used to watch when I was younger, but was well made enough to keep me entertained even now. Though it’s definitely very cheesy and not the greatest story ever told, it still touched me and entertained me in a way I didnt think it would. Truly a flashback of the stuff I used to watch. amazing work!

beyond anything you have ever seen is wild considering the things that exist these days but this was a decent video

I watched the WHOLE movie from start to finish without any multitasking, it was amazing. The story was simple, but made sense which felt like a real movie. I also loved how low-budget the movie was since it didn’t rely on high quality effects to improve any scenes. The balance between humor and seriousness was great as well, with the boom sounds occurring every 30 seconds while the plot and story building was kept with interest. The parkour master encounter and the first battle was my favorite part of the movie. Best thing I’ve seen in a while.

This movie is a masterpiece; it's a metaphor of life; it shows how social statuses works and how people are fighting for getting the higher positions, and almost other life stuff.

This felt like watching a cozy isekai anime from start to finish. It was so easy to become immersed in the world building. I absolutely loved the silly special power that only the protagonist has. Absolutely made my new years. Happy new year!

This is actually written well despite the silly premise. Case in Point: Our main Protagonist develops his own move that nobody else can replicate, and it happens to be his signature move that gets him out of the most daring scenarios.

this movie genuinely has good world building and character progression something like you showing us a role reversal of previous events questioned the main characters morality but also showed their progression in this world even how the differences of how the social classes worked reflected our own

Behind the parkour civilization is a social commentary on class divides, like I commented. All great stories deal with ideas that people can easily relate to: betrayal, love, friendship, justice, fairness, inequality, work, money, power, wealth, life, death, etc

i just watched 1 hour of a minecraft movie about parkour EDIT: ok, i watched the whole movie and it was one of the best movies i've ever seen

This has got to be the weirdest story told in Minecraft. (Though that's not a high bar as I'm not inclined to watch those types of videos anymore.) One of the more commendable aspects of this video is the attention to detail for sure. Many plot points weren't forgotten, even small circumstances for minor jokes were hinted at previously, and I don't even know if some were a part of the script or improvisation.

I wish this was a longer series. It was so good to just end.

one of the biggest thing i noticed is that if you can subsist on raw chicken and beef grants more hunger, you can technically increase your hunger until you can sprint and defeat the final temple jump that way.

i think for story purposes, leather boots literally lock your sprint key and keep you from sprinting to beat that.

At 1:45:55 the chain boots might have some secret powers to them since theyre the only one we see during this entire time. Would have loved to investigate their lore deeper
