The Schematic exporter is here!!! bryanvalc.gumroad.com/l/BlockBlenderToSchem Bryan Valdez made a .schem exporter that works for BlockBlender, so now you can bring your creations right into Minecraft. It is a third-party addon made by Bryan Valdez. I do not control the price. I have tested it with Litematica and it worked great for me, but I know it is a work in progress, so please be patient and kind.

As an guy who thought terraria was a copy of minecraft but with the use of a copper and also an animater this could make a great mod I totally agree with you

This is so cool! The only nitpick i have is that there is no block selection that'd let you exclude gravity blocks (sands, gravel and concrete powder), bc without proper support, they always fall

You can always go into the node edited and deactivate the blocks that you don't want

@@johndimond8434 Definitely, that's why it's a nitpick. Joey already went above and beyond creating logical groups of blocks, but gravity blocks would _especially_ be a useful group to be able to turn off in a single click because even Creative mode would struggle with those. And with concrete powder it's a large amount of blocks you'd have to manually toggle otherwise.

Damn dude, this is revolutionary for minecraft art. Also, I think the way you went about monetising it is very smart, good job :D

Currently, I am exporting an object file created in Blender using ObjToSchematic, importing the Schematic file into Amulet Editor, and dropping it into a Minecraft world. As you can hear, the process of dropping something from Blender into Minecraft is quite long and somewhat cumbersome. I feel a lot of potential in the things you have created. I will continue to support you.🙂

This will be revolutionary for Minecraft set-building. As a filmmaker for Minecraft, it's really tiring to get huge builds done with all the palettes planned and perfected curves and shapes. I've done what I could in Blender and binvox but I still don't know how it will look like in Minecraft. Definitely buying this as soon as I can afford it. (Not saying it's too expensive, 20 bucks is a good price actually.) If I can I will support you, thank you.

This was the first thing that came to my mind after you did your lego video. I attempted to do it myself and it is really complicated and I struggled on even getting separate layers. Great job!

I cant even begin to imagine how useful this could be for building server lobbies, big buildings on creative or just overall for fun, that's so cool

I love people like this. Makes something many people couldn't make. Something cool and useful. Shows others how to use it. Makes it possible for people to use. Makes it possible for a whole community to create cool content.

My god, I was trying to develop a bunch of maps for minecraft but couldn't get the terrain/buildings right. This is truly groundbreaking, with this you can finally be right saying that the sky's the limit.

I do a lot of mechanically drawing in SW, F360 and a bunch of others.. but i have never dwelled into blender (only a few times) but it really reminds me of grasshopper in rhino. This is awesome! Besides all the other suggestions like schematics, I’d love to see editing which blocks are used smoother, with custom block groups or ways I can upload a list of block names and it uses only those. Keep up the great work!

Nice project! I think you could have automated the process of setting all 800 nodes with a simple python script inside a blender, it's bit of pain to get through the documentation, but at the end it's so satisfying to generate everything with just a single click :).

The next step after getting world exports from Blender to Minecraft to work could be a way to compile 3D animations into /setblock or /fill commands for a series of command blocks in order to get 3D animations running in vanilla Minecraft with ease

Some extremely impressive stuff all around! While I don't expect this to be easily feasible, the ability to add in our own blocks would be seriously appreciated.

Really cool add-in! Thank you for sharing this! One quick note -- based on how human color perception works, you may get closer "visual" matches to the color on the base object if you operate in HSV instead of RGB color space. It's a subtle difference, but makes a big differences for complex models with few colors, which I stumbled upon when writing up a paint-by-numbers drawing generator. Cheers!

Even better, I suggest a model using the CIELab space. This is 5% more accurate than HSV though it may cause a substantial increase in calculation time. It may also be more difficult to correctly compare colors of this space though.

I’ve had a project that took images and converted them. Matched colours to blocks’ dominant colours etc. The distance between the colours thing. Loved that bit. The issue has mainly been creating skin and state data block structures from them. Just haven’t had the time.
