    The GEN1 M18 fan is 3 speed vs the new M18 PACKOUT fan is variable speed. Also, the GEN1 M18 fan uses a AC brick vs the new M18 PACKOUT fan can take a standard AC extension cord. I think Milwaukee just slapped together a GEN1 fan instead of thinking a little before putting it out.

    The gen 2 stats on milwaukee's website is 20.5mph velocity, 850cfm. Whereas the gen 1 stats are 18mph velocity, 284cfm. This new one will hopefully be a much needed big step up if those stats are true
