The pull-out rain shield at the end of the video is a great idea, Jake. Very smart!
Pro for tote. Easy to find what ya need, fast to add and take out certain things. Pro for back pack. Easy to carry, stuff can't fall out if ya drop it, less likely people will "borrow" a tool. I'm gonna go with tote since it seems it would be faster and at a glance I can see what I'm missing or just toss extra thing in for a particular task, plus when I zip things up or have to put things back in a certain way I'll be less likely to use them. Good video dude
backpack with the packout vacuum....brilliant!

Haha 🤓 thanks
The 50 tool test was a great comparison. Think I am going to go with the back pack now. Thank you for the review.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I think you’ll enjoy the backpack. Is my favorite
So glad you put the pack vs the tote.
Cool ideas for you to open my thoughts 💭 keep up the good work
Much better than carrying your tools in a home depot bucket

I agree
I am a tote fan and packout fan and do agree that Milwaukee has a ways to go on the tote. With regards to the backpack, I purchased 1 for packout features and portability however I found it clumsy as the back and the bottom do not have solid 90 degree framing and the back leans forward when I open it up. I also hope Milwaukee designs a Gen 2 for both of these products as I am a HUGE fan of Milwaukee tools

Well there’s kind of a gen 2. The structured series. But it’s 2-3x the cost so not really apples to apples
thank you showing that it has huge potential for improvement.
Great video by the way
I like the 15" tote and add tools and fasteners to the bottom with compact organizers. I also made a small handtruck to cart the assembly around.

I def need to make a custom hand truck of my own. The Milwaukee one is kinda weird
Yeah I made a dolly for the backpack for crawlspace work. Used a small wall mount with plywood bolted to it and swivel casters. Stuck a chunk of sheet metal on a side too under the pocket for a magnetic tray. I tried a bunch of bags and the backpack works best for me.

I made something similar, but for a collapsable hand truck.
Keep all my hand tools in my Packout three drawer setup. Organized by section with dividers. Pull out what i need and goes on my toolbelt. Then when it's time to put away, I know exactly where they all go. I rarely use my 15" packout tote anymore. I have my 3 drawer ontop of my 2 drawer which holds my drills, impact and nail gun. Have my large compact packout organizer with my most used scerws, and all nail gun sizes. All are on a packout holder on a custom dolly so i can roll it around with me. Can always throw my packout vacuum ontop of it all to bring with too.
I used all pockets in the 15 inch tote for the last year and I love it but need more pockets so I just grabbed the back pack !
Great review. I have been using the 15" tote for about 3 years. I also love my Toughbuilt Cliptech belt and pouches. I wish I could mount Cliptech hubs to one or both ends of this tote, similar to the orientation on the Toughbuilt tote. Mounting to either side would be interesting too. Often, I don't want to take a packout stack, I just want my tote, but I hate transferring tools back and forth between the belt pouches and the tote.

Check out the “Cliptech tote mount” on my website weihedesigns.com/shop/p/packout-rail-adapter-handler-wg86d-x2sxk I made it during my January design challenge. There’s a YT short on it from January
Is the STL for the organizers available?
Got a 15" tote and it’s the sweet spot in my opinion

backpack is better I have, always clean, more comfortable, recommend
Send me info on plastic container Thanks Ben
The padding on right side is to thin. Got caught on belt buckle and now the small tear is slowly spreading. Bag is only 3 weeks old and is now looking 2 years old.
Was that a Ball State Cardinal I saw there?

The pack out backpack is complete shit! I've been using it for a year now and it constantly tips forward when loaded.

@@JakeWeihe when it's locked onto my rolling pack out it's alright but I can't take my roller to most jobs. I've had every Milwaukee backpack and they've all done the same thing after they've been used and I bought the backpacks because carrying the totes with the shoulder strap kills the shoulders after some time, just not a very good design in my opinion.
