Milwaukee M18 wet dry vac tested in operation
We ran all sorts of tool review testing on the Milwaukee cordless vacuum, one of the most unique power tools for this year. As part of this Milwaukee m18 wet/dry vacuum review, we ran the Milwaukee vac until the M18 battery discharged to see how long the M18 battery life is on this Milwaukee cordless vac.
Milwaukee cordless vacuum cleaner review
This Milwaukee m18 wet/dry vacuum review also showed the M18 vac in operation on drywall dust, leaves, sand, and water. this Milwaukee M18 vac is an improvement over the first generation cordless vacuum from Milwaukee tools, and could be a contender for an alternative to the DeWalt vacuum. This Milwaukee M18 vacuum packs a nice punch into a small vacuum platform. We hope you enjoyed this cordless vacuum review.

Wanted a cordless vac for my vehicle.Ordered this unit.Getting the shop vac out to my vehicle was not the problem, but stringing out enough extension cords was the problem.Plus those extension cords are always getting caught on the tires as I work my way around my truck.I also like the fact that all the attachments can be put inside the vacuum.Still believe most people will still need a full size shop vac for larger work areas clean ups.Its the convenience of the battery and the relatively small tool size that sells this unit.Great comprehensive review, thanks.

This new unit has couple of improvements over the old one. One is lower noise level where ear protection not needed unlike the original, second is hose management for storage inside the box. The original has a better wide attachment. Neither one came with a brush. The original one will accept both old V18 and M18 type batteries, new one only M18s. Hose too short and small, wood chips will clogged it up in no time. Don't have problems leaving the filter in for wet but have to dry it completely before using it for dry. Impressive filter good even for drywall dust that will kill other vacuum units. Filter will last almost forever, just clean with compressed air. Power hungry as demonstrated, I have a 9.0 in it for better run time. This unit is so handy just for little things, couldn't live without it.

Thanks for the info on the old unit. I was surprised how well it took in drywall dust without choking, as all my other vacs I always have to install a vacuum bag when sucking up drywall dust.

Man, I have one of those little Ridgid 4 gallon shop vac and that thing is sweet. I use it for everything. Just wandering what I could do with a cordless Milwaukee unit. I'd like to use it to clean my vehicles but the hose is too short for that task. This unit is great in a wood shop or for small cleanups while working on site with no electricity. I will probably have to pass on it for now. But, it is a nice compact on the go vac.

Also it looks like I can get a wet/dry filter to replace it with for $12 on amazon but I bet it wont be hepa but I do like to be able to wash it out. give and take with everything. Most times I need a vac its for a min or less on a jobsite.

I think this will be perfect for vacuuming up your table saw and miter saw after use. With a 7 minute run time per battery, you'll need lots of batteries, or just limit it to small tasks, or call upon it to drain the toilet before removing the toilet

Great review Jeff! I’m a fellow South Floridian like yourself up in Palm Beach County. Anyway, I’m in the Milwaukee M18 platform and I’m debating between purchasing this 2 gallon cordless wet/dry vac or the Ridgid corded 4 gallon wet/dry vac w/5.0 HP. I plan on using it to clean my cars, as well as vacuuming out the drain line from my AC unit on occasion. That would be the only time I’d ever use the wet capability of the vac. What are your thoughts? I’d prefer to go with the Milwaukee and stick with the cordless option. Would it be strong enough to suck out any crud from an AC unit drain line?

@@jeffostroff, you are overly sensitive. Thanks for the compliment but I'm not a millennial. I'm probably old enough to be your father. But enough about me - the faults you find with the Milwaukee cordless vac, i.e., "drywall dust" & "sand sticking in the hose spirals" are common to all vacs. The one important parameter I didn't hear was how long it ran on a charge. Instead, you dribble talked "forever" allowing for lots of extra commercials. Even more irritating, you filmed it in the shadows. I'm resting my eyes now, as I type. Next video please wait until the sun is out and brightly beaming down on the object you want to sandwich between commercials. And since I don't know what hair dryer you use, Jeff, I have no idea what the Milwaukee blower function is "half" of. And you want "a port to charge the battery & plug it in." That's not a "port" Jeffery, it's called a battery charger and a 120V power cord. Both cost money to engineer and build. That simple "port" you want requires a transformer, or electronic equivalent to allow both 18V DC and 120 V AC. Milwaukee often creates different price ranges for different markets. Maybe their future $199.00 model will fulfill your fantasy? The question is, will you pay for it? Is your hairdryer cordless & and does it offer a built-in charger and 120 V cord? As for Home Depo 2-minute videos, that isn't the only alternative to your talkathon. And, if you demo your favorite hairdryer wait until the sun is shining.
