As a framer I went with the cordless compressor instead of the cordless framing nailer because when we do punch out stuff or small framing I also need my positive placement nailer. But I’ve used it a couple times already and it’s good for framing small scale stuff like I don’t have to bring out or big compressor and fill it with gas.

Correction 1:01: When running in 60V (really 54V) 'mode', FlexVolt 6Ah becomes a 2Ah battery (of course it has to, it can't magically make energy appear). When in 20V (really 18V) 'mode', then yes it is a 6Ah battery. Both these batteries are 5s3p (so 15x 21700 cells) - the FlexVolt just has the ability to switch between 5s3p or 15s1p. Takeway: just talk about batteries using Watt-hour (Wh) - both batteries are identical, at ~108Wh.

I’m curious about the Milwaukee one for doing abs and pex air tests in new construction homes. Lugging a 100lbs genny around and then a 200 foot hose for a 135psi loud af compressor isn’t fun lol

May I make a suggestion? The Milwaukee compressor would sound even better if it, like the Dewalt unit, was running while standing upright and on its rubber antivibration feet. Running and vibrating with the steel frame against the benchtop simply has to cause a higher decible level. Just trying to help. Peace!!

Thanks! We do know that for sure. It's standing upright on the frame so it's easier for us to film. It is notably quieter on the frame already so we didn't bothered to change the orientation when comparing the sound. But again, thanks for the comment.

Smaller compressors were mainly made for trim work and cabinets. For framing you need a larger capacity compressor in order to keep up with multiple mailers when building a house or other large structure and even then those larger size compressors will have the same issue as not being able to keep up with rapid nailing. I'm a 30+yr frame carpenter and a 20+ yr finish carpenter and I've used all types if mailers and compressors and they all perform in the same manner. A real test is on the job not just standing there rapidly shooting nails in a block of wood. Either of those compressors being demonstrated operate just fine in a real job performance

@@franciscoalmaguer3507 it would definitely work for small 1 person jobs, but you be better off getting a cordless frame nailer for the cost. I used to have the paslod frame nailer and worked fine, now I'm considering the Milwaukee cordless frame gun after seeing it in action

@@nemideergoon1844 Of course the quiet feature is a very good feature but Milwaukee is basically twice more expensive because it does not come with a battery and charger. It is also has less capacity and yet 50% heavier. But ultimately, whatever, existing ecosystem you already have, it is no brainer. Both have pros and cons.
