Milwaukee high speed ratchet final thoughts and review.
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video I go over my final final thoughts on the Milwaukee high speed ratchets. Did I like them what did I think. My likes and dislikes. How do they compare to the Snap on brushless ratchets. Extended battery ratchets are becoming more and more popular.
At the end of the day I think you should buy what you already have unless you just love tools like I do. These two are quite different from each other as far as speed and torque. They serve two different purposes and for me I’d rather have the torque.
Milwaukee part # 2569-20
Milwaukee part # 2568-20
Snap on part # CTR867
Snap on part # CTR817
Snap on brute part # CTR768

Just got the Milwaukee's I'll see how they do. For the price (got two free batteries, both ratchets under $380) i had to try, the snap on is more than double not including batteries.
I think price is a huge factor. They are comparable, but the price is not.

Truth
I bought the short version because it fits inside dashes better and the paddle hasn't been an issue enough times for me to really notice. But the twist selector becoming inaccessible because I underestimate how long a bolt is and now its stuck up against a frame rail can be a total pain in the ass. I do appreciate how tough because they hold up to more torque than I can manually apply. I have dropped mine on concrete multiple times, its been given more than a few surprise oil baths but it still works perfect in the year I've had it so far minus 1 led for the battery charge indicator but it last me multiple days on the 2.5 battery. Not to say the snap on isn't bad, but imo you buy the tool truck for the warranty coming to you instead of waiting for it to be shipped.
Great video! I currently have the first gen fuel ratchets and I’m planning on buying a high speed extended set.

I would suggest the insider ratchet myself. Really ended up not being a fan of the high speed ones. Too low of torque

Yeah man i bought it the other day and it doesn’t have torque i wish i had gotten the insider instead for $50 more
I had to of the snap on extended electric ratchets, and they just don’t last that long if you use them like I did ,that is 50 bolts a day consecutively. and yes, I lubricated the shit out of them. For torque and speed you just can’t beat pneumatics which I still use. The electric ratchets are great. If you use them sort of sparingly I’m going to try the Milwaukee because it’s half the price and if you’re going to be burning them up well why waste of money. Keep on rockin.

Thankfully I’ve had great success with my snappys. I use them everyday most of the day no warranty issues at all
i have the 3/8 long and short snap on electric ratchet is it worth getting the 1/4?

If you like the 3/8” ones then yes. I use mine all the time for interior work and timing belt jobs
So you know the fuel model before the high speed was way more powerful but a good bit slower and a far larger head

Yes correct. A bulky monstrosity but looking forward to the new pass through version. 55 ft lbs and 350 rpm’s
I’ve made the decision to purchase a Snap-On ratchet, however, I can’t decipher which model to purchase. I’m debating between the CTR768 - 70 ft lbs/175 RPM Or CTR867 - 60 ft lbs/275 RPM Which would you recommend?

The 768 is the brute which is low speed high torque. I own one and like it but it’s very slow. I prefer the 867 which I believe is the brushless one
I just buy used brushed snap on, when people upgrade to brushless

Nice!
Milwaukee Right angle impact for torque, Ratchet for Speed.. application dictates the tool
They all look newish I beat the snot out of mine even cleaning them they look way more used. Are these all for your home garage?

@@weldingjunkie 🤷🏻♂️ I clean mine often. Dont get me wrong the camera makes them look more clean than they are. They have cuts and knicks and chips out of them all over too.

@@weldingjunkie try some kimball Midwest wipes too. I mean they do eventually get to a point where they can’t be cleaned so have to stay on top of them from the start it’s not easy for sure
Why you not a fuel fan? To expensive for you???

Huh? Never said I wasn’t a fuel fan. I have Multiple Milwaukee fuel tools
Snap on will never be able to compete with milwaukee. It's 3x the price and 1 year vs 3 year warranty. I had 3k worth of snap on battery tools, sold everything for milwaukee and never looked back
