It's a handy knife, for sure!
I've had a couple of Milwaukee knives as "stand ins" for my regular EDC (I actually keep a fixed blade in my car as a backup). They were quite good for the price. One thing I like is that the locking mechanism actually holds the blade CLOSED, which is a nice feature.
@MarkThomasBuilder

That is a nice feature. 💯
I've carried a TradesPro stainless for about 10 years, the serrated blade has come in handy thousands of times.

i like straight edge outside work. but at work its very handy and they only put serrations on a third of the knife so its not in the way and only there when you need it for rope or other tougher material. i think they hit a home run here and even carrying a leatherman via sheath at work. i would still throw this in the pocket for many quick save a trip to the truck situations. ordered one. thank you for the great video

Awesome, I think you'll be happy with this knife, it's very comfortable in the hand. The press and flip just needs some time to break in.
I have been carrying that knife for several months now and I love it. I wish it did not have the serrated edge. I like a full blade edge. Mine is still not broken in yet. Its still very tight. One day I tried to flik it open and threw it across the kitchen. My hands were oily with cooking oil.

Sounds like a good use for the serrated blade.
Have this one and many other ones from them, waiting for one with a mini flashlight, that would be perfect for me in my work
Lanyard hole could be a universal ratchet. I just got the box knife version. I like the fact it stores an extra blade.

Hi thanks for the review I've been eyeing this knife for awhile now. Seeing as how you own several of the new fastbacks I have a question for you. Do you think the utility blade holder from the compact would fit on this knife handle? I love the body but I prefer the replaceable blades. Thanks!

I quickly looked at the folding Fastback utility knife and the blade holder part looks wider than what I recall the 5-in-1 knife being, so I don't believe they can easily be switched out.

I don't know exactly what the pocket clip upgrade looks like. They used to have a big wire clip, which people complained about. I think it's a modified wire style clip now which looks like a better design.

Straight edge and get rid of spring clip. Spring clip gets caught on things and bends open. Once bent it will pissy you off from that point on at least once a day. Great knifes. I'm a plumber and beat crap out of them. They sharpen nice and are easy to take care of.

The spring clip that holds knife in pocket catches on things while you're working and bends a little. After the wire spring clip bends, it tends to get hooked up on everything a pull out of your pocket. Your jacket will catch it and pull it out of your pocket while you're working. Work in close quarters with it for a while and you'll see. It's a great knife and I will buy another when I lose this one. That said I'm on my 4th Milwaukee knife since they started selling them. All had the same problem.
