Millport, Isle of Cumbrae - A Sneak Peak of What's in Store
The Isle of Cumbrae is known as ‘Scotland’s Most Accessible Island’, and for good reason. It’s only an 8-minute ferry ride across from Largs on the North Ayrshire coast.
For what the island lacks in size, it makes up for in adventure. Whether it’s one of the five main nature walks, discovering the ‘Cumbrae Rocks’ or enjoying the 360” panoramic views from the Glaidstone (Cumbrae’s highest point), there’s plenty opportunity to get back in touch with nature. There are also many restaurant, bar and beer garden options to wind down after a long day of eploring.

Who are the Jacks?
Hey! We’re two cousins - Daniel Jack & Adam Jack - starting up our tourist accommodation family business, ‘Jack’s Alt-Stays’. We’re designing and building 5x ‘Alternative Eco-cabins’, to create a one-of-a-kind accommodation experience for Scotland’s explorers. 🏴
We’re currently in the process of buying a 1.2-acre plot of land on the scenic Scottish island of Cumbrae, just outside the main town of Millport. Cabin 1 is now officially in its build stage after months of concept development and design iterations, and we have JUST secured planning permission!

The Isle of Cumbrae really is a fantastic place to visit! It's known as 'Scotland's Most Accessible Island', being only an 8-minute ferry over from the mainland town of Largs. Largs is only a 1-hour train from Glasgow. So, you'll be on island time before you know it! The island is also where we'll be setting up our 'Alternative Eco Cabin' tourist accommodation site in early 2022! Check out our 'build journey' videos on the channel. Thanks! - Daniel :)
