MillMaster Homebrew Grain Mill Review
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
The Mill Master is a High quality medium priced homebrewer mill. This could be the mill you are looking for it can definitely go up against the most premium malt mills on the market in my opinion. Made of high-quality materials so it’s built to last super easy to adjust and stays adjusted once you set it.

I’ve been using this mill here in Australia for more 6 Years it is the best I have seen and used till this day. Quality ! This mill will outperform and outlast any other mill on the market the cheap Chinese ones don’t even come close. Everything you said about this mill is true big improvement on efficiency compared to my old Plastic Valley mill l was using. Good review and Cheers 🍻

Thank you very much for mentioning my name with those guys I really appreciate it just made my day man 🍻
I missed this one but just made up for it. Great that you had a better experience with this mill and nicely done as always. Ive not heard of this before but it certainly looks and sounds like the real deal.

its a beast ,,just used mine and wow ,,nothing on the market compares to it
I have been using the previous version with knurled rollers for many years, coming up on 8 years now at least. Absolute quality and as good as the day I bought it. I'm planning an upgrade to the fluted rollers now after seeing this. I have also built my own hopper for it which takes 10kg of malt. Handles it easy!

It’s good to hear I definitely think this is a high-quality piece of equipment! that custom hopper sounds like the way to go 🍻🍻
Had my Mill master for about 5 years. It’s an awesome mill. Great crush no shearing of husks. Solid build. I ordered from Australia and it ended up to cost me about the same as a Monster mill would have. Shipping was not that bad. But as I said it was 5 yrs ago
Hi Bradley, I have used this mill for a number of years and believe it to be a great piece of kit. As an ex-craft brewer producing 250 liters a day it also improved my efficiency levels between 7 and 8%.

I couldn’t agree with you more 🍻🍻🍻
I've got the same mill. Had it for 4 or 5 years now, although haven't used it a lot lately as my local HBS mills grain for me but I'm probably going to go back to milling my grain now I'm brewing with a B40 and B150 so I can dial it in a bit better. But totally agree, this grain mill is the business. It weighs a ton, incredibly well made. It's a mill for life I think.

Definitely if you’ve got the smell why the hell are you using it lol once you start using again it’ll definitely help you with efficiency and your overall mashing process! thank you so much for watching and commenting🍻

Great stuff Bradley! I am considering upgrading my mill and this sounds promising. Frustrating seeing a lot of reviews of expensive mills coming up short. If I’m gonna pay that kind of money it should do exactly what it’s expected to do. Appreciate it brother! Sláinte!

Thank you ! It definitely does the job 🍻
I have this mill and it does a wonderful job and the crush can be dialled in to perfection. Ok, I’m in Australia so the freight wasn’t an issue but it’s worth the money. Agree, the hopper should be bigger and I’d like to see them use a slightly thicker grade aluminium.

Zip ties and duct tape for sure sometimes it works so well a temporary fix can become permanent .
Watched your video on this mill because I'm in the market to replace mine, the one I currently have is a generic two roller mill that constantly stops pulling grain in the mill... It's starting to be the most frustrating part of my brew day. Saw your review and pulled the trigger on the mill, I didn't get the hopper but I'm thinking I can jimmy something up from my current mills hopper and if not build a larger one out of some MDF, I do around 30lb batches so I want the hopper to be somewhat substantial, this purchase was not cheap but excited to get and use it. Cheers!

How's it working out for you ?
Great video! Looks like a solid mill. I like the gear drive it has. It is a shame to not have a bigger hopper, or at least offer a hopper extension like some other mills. Cheers!

Remember kids, you can't reattach hamburger. Use the guard. Great video, as always. It's only used for a few minutes at the start of each brew day, but you gotta have a good mill.

Have you had alot of experience with duotight connectors. I used them on my Spike CF5 and just a little nervous. Your feedback goes a long way with me. Happy brewing!

I think they’re pretty good I think that they’ve come out with a new tubing recently that’s a little bit more robust that works better. I think as long as you don’t put too much stress on the connection bending it or something it should be fine.
Pretty sweet! Couldn't remember but did you also try the Monster Mill MM3? If so, what did you think of it?

I've got this mill and I set it up using a credit card as the gap size.
Overall do you recommend a two roller vs a 3 roller mill and if so why?
@PortlyGentleman
3 жыл бұрын
I personally like to roller less complicated and easier to mess with I’m pretty lazy.. I also reserve the right to change my opinion at any time lol 🍻🍻🍻
I do not know where I read it but the optimum speed on a crusher is 90 rpm, so as not to damage the shells. (or it was just my mill it was about)

Francis Hemeter from MillMaster here. When we did testing with the fluted rollers we tested with a full set of ASBC (American Society of Brewing Chemists) at 100RPM, 230RPM and 520RPM, yes we put a tachometer on the mill for testing so these are roller speeds not motor speeds. At lower RPM we ended up with 1-2% more flour in the pan at 100RPM than we did at 230RPM, then more flour again 1-2% up near the 520RPM and higher. We used to make knurled rollers the rely upon crushing and in this respect lower RPMs delivered a better "crush" but as the fluted rollers cut. I wish I could claim engineering genius for this but it was just by product of the flutes that run on commercial machines at at high linear speed in larger diameter rollers.
