The whole point of wealth for me is freedom. My magic number in my mind is 5 million needed at 65 to not worry about anything. Am i better off investing a good portion of my income into stocks or saving my earnings to achieve this goal?

Varied sources of income is wise and especially living within your means. My net worth is $2M and I can pay my bills with no stress, but I don't live like I have that. I have no complaints.

Money advice is subjective, what works for you may not work for someone else, but it's always better to plan. I'm quite lucky exposed to personal finance at an early age, started job 19, bought first home 28, got laid-off work 36 amid covid-outbreak, and at once I consulted an advisor to handle growing my finance. As of today, I'm only 25% short of my $1m goal after subsequent investments.

I want to write all the areas of my life down and break them down on what I want to get better at in the areas and then break those down to actionable goals/task. I am from Sudan in Africa. One of the poorest countries in the world and for the most time of my life I had no access to basic necessities. I started working with 4 years old, mostly in mines. I was able to flee from Sudan to the neighbouring country Chad as a teenager. Life here is a bit better, though still very rough. My parents and my siblings died when I was young and since then there is basically just me. I made money by repairing things and teaching english (Chad is a french speaking country). Last month I was diagnosed with cancer and they give me maybe half a year to live. So how do I get rich in 3 month, so I can live a good life for at least the rest of my short life?

lol you like having gurus who lie about their boast in your podcast? How many times was he sued in Oklahoma? And lost? And in the process tried to throw everyone but himself under the bus?

Really insightful, but it seems that most of these guys have “coaching” businesses and that’s where the bulk of their money is coming from. I think eventually we’ll see a pivot off people who run businesses that are more real world related sharing their come ups without having to sell people something (unless it’s coaching within said field), but coaching for the sake of coaching isn’t played out imo.

Only fools and crooks misleading and abusing the weak and the desperate the new game in town
