Milking Miss Tulip Our Family Milk Cow
Come along for our daily chore of milking our family cow as I share the daily milking process, caring for and enjoying time with Tulip, and straining the milk to chill before we make butter. Even with our new 150 cow dairy coming soon, I won't give up the joys and benefits of caring for our own family cows - and soon, milk sheep.
Until next time, thanks for watching!

A donkey named Turkey, quirky rooster, gentle milking cow, and one beautiful farm lady. Thank you for sharing your life 😊
I don’t know much about farming or cows but I feel like it’s gotta be a happy well treated cow to just stand there and let you do that lol 😊

This is the true living.. Living with nature! You all are lucky! Very nice 👌
Hi Hannah! As a brazilian veterinarian, I’ve to say that it’s lovely to see how you treat your farm animals and to watch you milk the cow!! Also loved to hear the story about the maple syrup and cinnamon & milk from here! Absolutely lovely!! ❤

I’ve had a family milk cow for about a year now and honestly wouldn’t be scared to say she’s one of the most important animals on the farm. Not only does her milk feed us, but it also supplements my chickens, dogs, and hogs. I loved this video! I have followed you on IG for a while and glad to have a ran across your channel here!

Love this video, it reminds me of my childhood in our home, full of milk all the time, lots of cooking and eating. God, i didn't know how lucky we were...
My dad grew up on a farm and it was his job to get up and milk the cow early. It was fun hearing his farm stories.
What a great way to raise your family. I retired after 35 year from a cheddar and cream cheese plant. Work on dairy farms growing up and married a farmer’s daughter lol. Always loved working with the cows.
My favorite video you've done so far: from outside to inside, the home farm to future milking business, connecting young days in Brazil to fresh milk w/maple syrup & cinnamon, littlest one at the end passing his food to his slightly bigger sister, and of course kids having real, true fun sledding, which they'll remember forever & which most kids used to be able to do but fewer nowadays, to the information about milking to your grounded idea to keep Tulip there.
Every time I watch a video there is another child. So many, you are such an amazing woman!
Thank you for sharing life❤ 🌹🙏
Beautiful, hard working and positive mother. I admire you. Thank you for sharing.
It’s satisfying just watching you milk the cows. I can only imagine how much more satisfying and rewarding it is actually doing it. I switched to raw cows milk a couple years ago and so glad I did. My family and I love it and I love making cheese and Kefir! ❤
You're doing something important over there, guys. I hope one day I'll be able to visit your amazing farm. Cari saluti dall'Italia.

I absolutely love watching ya'll so passionately live out life on your farm! Everything that ya'll do is honestly future goals for me personally, especially owning a family milk cow for (hopefully and prayerfully) my own family in the future. Thank you for continuing to share, Hannah! I love learning from ya'll!
🌷 Love Miss Tulip...I just love this channel.
I was hand milking at the age of six. On those cold days, the cows would warm us up. I think the raw milk is easier to digest because all of the enzymes are in tact. When milk is pasteurized many of the enzymes are destroyed by the heating process.

My family and I are loving your videos on YT! Thank you for sharing with us and inspiring us all. ❤
So precious! Thanks for letting us see the milking process! Hope to have my own dairy darling one day 💖
Good Sunday morning Hannah. You're looking great today - and I'm glad Tulip is doing well. Thanks so much for sharing a look at your daily chores there on the family farm, moving from one to the other very much like a Ballerina. 🌹🌹😊😊
This brings us such precious memories of my great-grandma teaching me how to milk a cow when I was about 8-9 🥰 loved watching this!

Ty for sharing the process of hand milking , loved it. Beautiful family also
Thank you for this video! I love watching your posts!
That was wonderful! Thanks for all the information. The children really looked like they were having fun sledding. Reminds me when I was a child and we went down to the railroad tracks to go sledding, that was the only hill around.
I watch this, and it feels like i can almost live that farm life 😍 I really want to see more videos, and can’t wait to hear about your experience with the sheep and goats milk!
Good ❤...sharing ...
Great videos and beautiful family!
Great video, and thanks for sharing your family with us.
I admire your family's hard work so much!!!
That was fun to watch! I’ve never milked a cow, but I got to bottle feed a calf one summer. That was really fun. I loved that he would come when I called and would let me pet him.
❤ thank you for explaining with such details the process. Makes me want to have a farm 😊 . Thank you again . I grew up drinking raw milk in the mornings direct from the cow back in Mexico with chicolate Abuelita and cinamon and never got sick with the milk. Here in California I go to my cousin's home to drink again every once in a while and next time I will try like you did today 😋 thanks for the idea!
Love your new channel! Y'all are so good at making videos, keep up the great work!! ❤️
Love that Tulip got to go camping!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful family and farm with all of us ♥️
Good morning, Ballerina Farm! Thanks to you for sharing the milking process today. I really enjoyed watching the whole video. You helped me bring back memories of spending time with my grandparents and their milk cow that I had tucked away for way too long. Much of the process was the same except I remember my grandmother immediately putting the milk through a “processor” to separate it. Man, I was such a city kid then and thought butter was yucky. What I wouldn’t do now to go back to those times. Blessings to you and your family. ❤️
Oh what a wonderful life, nature and the way it should be. I hope to get a cow someday. Thanks for sharing 💓🤠🐮🐄
What a fun lesson on a Saturday morning! 🥛🐂 🐄 I have always loved farms, cows, chickens, etc. My favorite thing to do as a little kid, big kid, teenager, mom, etc… was go to my grandparents, aunts & uncles homes & to their farms in the country after they moved closer to the city. Looking back it was always my favorite thing to do & I always wanted to live on a farm but we had moved to the city soon after I was born so I was brought up in the city but my heart is still in the country & how I miss my grandparents!! I still love living out but I never got to live the farm life like you do!! I envy every single thing you’re doing out there & I still think about it even though I’m now 69 years-old! lol!! Of course I’ve always loved to cook, bake, sew, quilt, caring for my kids & any kids, etc. & I still do! I’ve kidded my mom & told her I’m going to out to homestead somewhere & she just laughs at me but you never know! Anything is possible! You take care, best of luck with all your new cows & the dairy & keep little life for us both! Give Tuip a great big hug for me❣️❣️ 🥰 🐂🐓🐄🐓

I LOVE your farm. Your family is beautiful as is your farm. We are at an awkward part of our moving journey and my husband has to spend a lot of time running between the two homes . So thank you for making these videos, they reminding me of what we are working towards. Especially, when I get sad and start missing my hubby and the cows. Thank you!! PS you are totally justified in disliking that pitch fork, I have one that looks like it, and I am not fond of it either.
This is my dream... Big happy family raising animals and living a proper natural life. Love it.

I am looking to one day getting an A2 Jersey cow. Love this video. I just ordered your sourdough kit. Super excited!
So enjoyed this, thank you!
I loved Ms. Tulip she’s lovely so is your charming and huge family . Hugs from Mexico 🇲🇽
So strange to me how the Idea of drinking warm milk from a cow seems so foreign, but I am somehow totally ok with the commercial process which couldn't be further from nature.
Enjoyed the video. So excited to follow your family
We had Holstein cows for our dairy farm but when my dad retired and sold the cows he got a Jersey cow for us to have as a milk cow. I remember my momma saying that a Jersey cow’s milk was a lot richer just like you said.
Thank you 🙏
I have a family Milk com here in Brazil ... and it's like a task that you have to do every day... sometimes I'm not excited to do that but I have to... I love the animals.. I love the cows and I'm learning English and I took this video to learn a little about this activity in English... fantastic. I really appreciate!
Video was great, thank you! I too have a problem drinking store milk. I learned so much from this video 😁 May Our Lord continue to bless you and your family.♥️♥️♥️
I always enjoy watching you milk Tulip, love her name by the way, and the little drink you make from her milk.
She is such a sweet cow! Some of my cows don't like to stand still and will kick, but some are better and come when I call and are just amazing so I pick my favorites.
Good simplified filtering ..sieving ...against external matters n insects etc
That was such a sweet video. Thanks for letting us learn from you and also live vicariously through you! Haha. One of my dreams is to be a milk maid someday.
You’re amazing! Such a true role model! 💝💝💝💝💝

Wonderful video. I am almost convinced that I need to get my own milk cow after watching this. I do a lot of baking and growing my own food and I buy local sources as much as possible. But it's getting harder to get milk and eggs from local farmers here..long wait lists.
I love following you all. Such an inspiration
