Military Tales I Warrant officer 1 (Retired) Atanas Nyairo who served the Navy for 32 years
When a president or Head of government is on an official tour of the country, they are honoured with a 21 Gun salute which is customary in many jurisdictions around the world.In Kenya that important exercise in only carried out by the Kenya Navy. Warrant officer 1 (Retired) Atanas Nyairo served the Navy for 32 years and was one of the officers in charge of the Naval gun that is used during this salutations. Ben Troy Njue visited him in Mtongwe, Mombasa county and filed the following report for this week’s Edition of Military Tales.
