Thank you Kasmuel for taking a step of courage and grace to opennly share your story infront of an audience. Its not easy, even knowing that your parents were watching and apologizing to them. You have given many young men the strength and understanding that someone can relate if they have gone through the same and that there's hope. May the Lord continue to do great things in your life, you are a strong person. The vulnerability you share only God can choose you to speak for Him to change other lives. You're God's Masterpiece and He loves you so much. Thank you for encouraging others through your story. Am truly sorry for all you've gone through may the Lord continue to heal you as you impact nations for His Glory. He's put a crown on your head for His Glory and Honor, may your words transform, encourage and lift up others
Parents when you visit your kids on boarding school, with trucks full of goodies, please care to ask if they know of any kids who have not been visited. Share, pack an extra bag. 😢

This is one of the bravest things I have seen anybody do. To share your vulnerability in such an eloquent and intelligent way is incredible Kasmuel. I especially appreciate your insertion of well-placed humour in an otherwise sombre story. You are clearly in this world for a reason; please continue to inspire. ❤

A very young man. Sorry for what you had to go through. You are strong, you have conquered, strive to always move forward. I hope nobody ever discriminate you over ADHD and bipolar.. many have lived a full fruitful life. They are mild issues.
"If you talk about these things, about the issues in your life. They no longer overpower you."
It is not in the fluency or diction that this story was told but in the vulnerability to share such aspects of our lives. Vulnerability is the ultimate metric of courage and this right here is the embodiment of courage! Kas I really hope and pray that you left that stage light - unfettered, liberated! Yours was indeed a great burden to bear and kudos for shedding it! "Free At Last" Wishing you well in all you do, continue being a blessing to all of us who get to witness and share in the numerous endowments that the Lord has bestowed on you!

Very well said!
I can relate, schooling in a "rich school" and coming from a "humbled" background, though I cannot tell the difference between how rich is rich and how humble is humble, is a hell of a place, it's like a rabbit walking majestically in a pride of lions. People got stories, smiles hide the real monster within
You've only just started.. I see you flying high, Kaz! It is well
The eloquence 👌👌👌👌👌👌
Loved how you owned your truth, your future is so bright, best of luck champ👏🏽

I am touched by his truth. And I am glad that he shared it with us.
Perhaps sometimes strength lies in vulnerability, the courage to embrace the parts of us that ache and more beautifully so to share the pain and experiences that have shaped us with the world. Thank you Kasmuel. Grace, love and light your way❤
I’m so sorry McOure…so sorry you had to go through all this at such a tender age. I’m glad you have told your truth and may your star shine bright. Ifikie high schools. I hope things have changed over time. Nobody deserves to go through abuse of whatever kind. May we extend grace to each other, more so children. 🖤🖤🖤.
High school is where most of us changed. Today I still wonder if I can take my kids to a boarding high school. Great story here

Such a touching story.. Parents should be very careful and get to know what happens to kids...these issues that happen to kids will injure them for a lifetime if not attended to.
It takes incredible strength to share such a story on such a stage, Kasmuel. You're gifted not only on the keys but also in speech. Be sure your story will touch a soul! Go, Kas! You've triumphed by sharing! 🎉#GoChamp! 💪
A brave, well-articulated and very impactful talk. According to WHO, 1 in 8 people globally is living with a mental health disorder, and these account for roughly 14.3% of deaths annually! Despite it's high prevalence, mental illness is massively underdiagnosed and undertreated, especially in Africa. This is why I commend you for coming out and sharing your story, for although many people have been afflicted by illnesses such as depression, many do not come out or seek any kind of help. This usually concludes in suicidal ideations and ultimately suicidal attempts some of which succeed. Mental resilience is a potent tool that can help us withstand the adversity of mental illnesses. One of the most practical ways of building resilience is through social connectedness... sharing your stories and taking comfort in the fact that you're not alone and you have people rooting for you. I applaud you, therefore, for taking the onus on yourself, to share your story, in the hope that it can impact someone else positively. I do wish you well, and hope that you find lasting joy and peace in the little things in life, and that you get freed from the suicidal thoughts that have afflicted you in the past. I also hope you have a good prognosis with your diagnoses! Thank you for sharing this, McOure 🙏🏾.
Well well won Kas am proud of you and this extension of grace

Thank you for sharing Kasmuel. Every time you stand on the Engage stage, you speak to me. I identify with your experiences. I can't spot the genesis of mine but I hope to get to share such stories of overcoming. Praying for the same during these 10 days of prayer. Yes, I am also an Adventist. I also went to the greatest high school North of Limpopo and South of Sahara and no, it's not Alliance. It is the great Our Lady of Mercy Ringa Boys High School P.O. Box 3 Oyugis.

You're brave for doing this, but you're braver for how you've lived all these years, sculpting out the man you've become even when everyone else had a different story about you..when everyone else thought they had you figured out, when everyone else thought they had a claim on what was your story. This engagement talk is different. You are courageous and your story is inspiring. I have learnt to be nonjudgemental. Smart, eloquent and full of humour.
Wuaaaaaa. This one has left me speechless. May you continue to heal Sir. Thank you for being the VOICE OF CHILDREN who find it hard to express themselves in the midst of their experiences for the fear of being ridiculed or being told they're seeking unnecessary attention. God heal you and keep you Sir.
