Haruka’s mentally and emotionally a child. It’s understandable he would take being viewed innocent after killing a person, children take praise or disapproval for everything that they do

  • @SuperGreenSmartie
    @SuperGreenSmartie Жыл бұрын

The saddest part of this is that no matter how people voted for him before or vote for him after this, Haruka is clearly just very unwell mentally. He clearly was struggling with some form of abuse or neglect that led to him snapping. What he did was wrong but even now he's just completely unravelling over it. If he'd been voted guilty before, he would just continue hating himself and it would reinforce the kind of thinking he already had about himself. But being voted innocent has led to him completely swinging the other way and trying to convince himself that it was okay for him to kill someone. He seems very confused and almost angry at his verdict, like he can't understand why anyone would forgive someone as lowly as him. It's heart-breaking but I don't think Haruka is gonna recover or improve without some proper therapy/emotional support, and they seem to be hinting that Muu is the person he's looking to for that support which is really bad. Her own dysfunctions and trauma just feed into his; he wants to be acknowledged and she wants to be validated. They're both awful for each other and are likely gonna spiral down hard unless someone snaps one of them out of it. Unless an emotionally stable third party intervenes, he's gonna fully derail no matter what his next two verdicts are and there's nothing we as the audience can do to help him.

These r my exact thoughts.. omg thank you. I literally worry abt Haruka so much bc of how unwell he seems.. I personally didn't enjoy how he was captured as a "bad guy" without pin pointing maybe why he's the way he is. You said exactly everything as to why. But it's just nice to know someone else out there is also thinking of his mental state. I feel like just him being neglected and not taught a lot on life; just gave him his own narrative in the real world. So he taught himself the best he could to be a human being. It's really rough and not to get personal, but he reminds me of my past self so much. My child self is still so hurt from their past, seeing how similar me and Haruka r just hits home and makes me wanna literally protect this man with every fiber of my being lmaooo I hope he'll b okay omg. I'm doing okay now tho, and therapy and getting help does work lol. If Haruka were to get help, I feel like he'd understand what he did was wrong and feel horrible. But still have twisted parts to him, sadly. Murder changes u mentally in ways idk how, but he lost parts of himself and soul from that I think : ( Same with his childhood. He has a lot to learn and I really hope we get to see more growth from him! ( obvs not a whole lot, but it's nice to hear him speaking up more! ) sorry this got personal and long 😅

THIS I have such a hard time finding a verdict for haruka, he both need validation and a way to stop him from being violent towards other and himself, but i don't think milgram, by it's concept, will ever be able to provide him that help, wich is kinda sad.

The problem with the Muu and Haruka thing is that it seems they’re both legitimately friends with each other. And they both have their own problems that get worse when their with each other any Muu might be a little bit manipulative but that’s a problem. Keep two characters that have never had any friends stay friends and be happy, or distance them from each other to stop their problems from getting worse?

That tantrum scared me the fuck up. I also think it doesn't help Haruka that he thinks of Es like an authority/parental figure (like his mum) so it's completely reasonable for him to act cocky. However, positive reinforcement doesn't work on him (like another commenter said) and he needs to see what he did was wrong! I can't say I forgive Haruka, but I really pity him. Its obvious he has a learning disability, and by how much his mother neglected him its obvious it was never accommodated, instead the boy was raised without any real support it and it only worsened by the inferiority and victim complex he gained from the failure and neglect he continued to be met with. Now I'm unsure if ANYTHING can be done for him within milgram because of just how traumatized the boy has become. Vote him innocent and he learns nothing and will eventually do it again. Vote him guilty and he'll just continue to hate himself and likely end up doing it again desperate for any attention to help offset his own despair. Haruka needs therapy, I can only hope that voting both him and Mu will lead to some sort of growth for him, if he doesn't succeed at killing himself that is, but shidou should be able to save him if he tries.

I was on the fence second trial, but now I know I'm gonna vote him guilty. In the first trial, I assumed he was on the spectrum and didn't really know what was going on, just killing = attention. (Didn't help he got a banger song lol) but now I'm seeing positive reinforcement doesn't work, there's too many issues with his logic to teach him properly in the timeframe we'll have with Milgram. This shows me he probably won't change in time (get the help he needs to be released into the world again stable enough that he's not gonna go find some more victims), knows and is aware of what he's doing in a sadistic fashion (the acknowledgement of his "attention attracting kills" "I can kill anything smaller than me") and as Es has put it, he's become cocky, and therefore kind of intolerable as a person. I don't really root for him anymore, but appreciate the writing in that he's not just this one note sad tale of someone who can't understand they've done wrong for 3 songs. But he's totally guilty to me as he is now. Plus, about his threat, if he gets treated as guilty he'll get more restrained so probably won't be able to fulfill it, don't worry.

That’s pretty much all I got. I was shocked when he was voted innocent, he literally says “yes it was me” in his song. But now, this trial says a lot more about him and how he just never was enough and was neglected etc etc. I’m still voting him guilty, as voting him innocent just made him worse (I think at this point there’s no saving him, he’s just getting worse for a different reason depending on if he’s innocent or guilty) and I think he is absolutely guilty of murder, but dang now I understand the love for him lol

Haruka needs a lot of therapy. He shouldn't be blamed for acting childish or not understanding some things. When a mother neglects a child, that child shouldn't be held responsible I think. But it's good that people voted to not forgive him this time. Even if Muu wasn't forgiven either, if his ideas are rejected, then he might return to his previous self, and maybe Muu will do something that'll stop Haruka from killing himself

I didn't expect him to change THAT much. I feel kind of bad for him, if I understood correctly he's only acting like that because he was brainwashed. Maybe he wouldn't have made those leaps in logic if his ideas hadn't been forcefully reinforced. Or maybe I just took Jackalope's word too literally. I doubt Haruka will really kill himself, if that was possible Mahiru and Shidou would have done it already. I wonder how Es managed to understand something from Haruka's first MV. I knew he was suspicious, but I didn't expect him to be that evil. It was very weird how at first it seemed as if they were talking about Sakurai's crime only for they to reveal they were speaking metaphorically about "killing his undesired self". I don't understand how that is a murder. I wonder who he killed. It can't have been his mother, killing her for her own attention makes no sense. Anyway, thanks for making this video!

Not only Es acts as if he had been brainwashed by some sort of cult (figuratively), there's also the fact that Mikoto is somehow the only one who's immune to Milgram, which means they are definitely trying to mess with his mind. I do want to believe I'm wrong, though, because brainwashing makes the story less interesting. It's too bad, I feel like if he were perhaps voted guilty first, and then innocent second with at least a few reason why explained to him, it would've helped him better. Having the second judgment come with a worse punishment after all... Then again, Kotoko's violent "justice" really complicates things. In the first place, I doubt many voted Kotoko innocent just to have her on our side. I'm worried most about how to vote Kotoko now that we know how she responds. I mean... Having her beat people may even be useful in some sense though it wasn't this time, but it mostly seems to have detrimental effects. After all... her actions clearly are meant to have a huge impact on our judgment and the life or death of other prisoners. If we vote Mahiru guilty again, Kotoko will kill her, so many of us may not want to vote her guilty now, but what if we feel she deserves it? That being said, if we vote her guilty again, is final fate chose by final verdict or best 2 out of 3 trial results? Our judgment whether we like or not will now be heavily skewed.

I actually have a bit of a theory about just why Es seems to behave so differently between voice dramas - I think in trial 1, Es is acting as something of a 'proxy' for each prisoner's victim, and in trial 2, they're a proxy for each prisoner's 'witness', so to speak. I think a lot about Amane's, for example - where Es is at their MOST rancid and horrible, like straight up so authoritarian that Amane's provoked into cult-navigating mode - but in trial 2, the infamous 'i'm an adult in haiti and puerto rico so nyah nyah' line makes them a LOT more immature and bratty - it's like Es switched between Amane's victim (some figure of authority, one of the people who abused her) and that fellow cult-member-classmate of hers, who I can easily see her bickering childishly with. And, well, for Haruka here - it's obvious, huh. Es is serving as a proxy for his mother - Haruka even, essentially, says as much, that he was sorta conversing with them /like/ they were his mom. ...As for trial 1, well. Well. WELL I SURE HAVE SOME THEORIES ABOUT WHO HARUKA'S 'VICTIM' WAS but that's for another day (okay i think this is all deep misdirection about closet transness and the victim was his potential future self)

It was said that when someone is voted guilty/unforgiven, then they would be physically restrained, so if Haruka was voted guilty, wouldn't that make it harder for him to take his life if Mu were to be voted guilty? Of course, that does not mean it would be impossible but might make it harder for him to try to take his life if the group keeps an eye on him. Also if people try to stop him he could lash out at them, injuring people who are voted innocent, so if he is voted guilty, it could make it safer for them. The same can also be said if we voted everyone innocent since I can imagine Kotoko believing that there is no way everyone can be innocent and start attacking people who she deems to be guilty, while also just making everyone think they did nothing wrong with their actions. Like i genuinely really feel for him. Idc if he seems insane or if he's being unreasonable, he deserves a life where he was properly nurtured instead of being put in a spiral where he can only get worse and worse. I love haruka he is my favorite and I really hope he somehow gets a happy ending even if he probably won't since it seems most people think, any kind of hostility = bad and needs to be guilty. And im not even gonna mention the severity of his crime since shidou killed multiple people yet he's apparently innocent because he did it for his wife. Why not haruka who killed one person because he was incredibly misguided and mistreated and driven to a place where he would do anything to be seen? Also he said he didn't know how to feel about it in the video so he's obviously still very impressionable. Also I’m not quite sure if you heard Muu’s interrogation but she doesn’t care that Haruka threatened to kill himself at all. She even says that she’s not gonna try and stop him because “real friends lets their friends do what they want.” She holds no concern for Haruka in the slightest. Infact in her interrogation instead of agreeing that she should talk to Haruka she instead say “Well it simple, just vote me innocent again and he won’t die.” She is using that boi as a hostage to insure her own freedom. Him dying would also work in her favor. Haruka wants to stay in there forever and she wants to leave. Those conflicting plans are gonna rear its head because Haruka isn’t gonna take so likely to being told she doesn’t wanna stay here would him. The only reason I could see her trying to keep Haruka alive atp is to use him as a scapegoat for her actions and try to make a parallel to why she’s in there (something along the lines of “because people always held me in high regard of course I did bad things, it was to much pressure trying to be perfect. Thats why I started acting so weird, because Haruka treated me just like everyone else”)

@@SkySpadeMikazena maybe, but if shidou and kazui were really watching over haruka, then both would realize that he is trying to starve himself and would have taken immediate action, but so far there is no evidence that they have, as there is no known interaction between the three during the second trial (check the milgram wiki or the app if you have for portal timeline conversations since there may be more there). Throughout the second trial, Haruka has interacted with a total of two people, Muu and Mikoto. Muu is especially important because she went to him during his birthday and addressed the situation that Haruka has not been eating. Hell, she even brought him food, which is completely antithetical to what she said in her second audio file.

@@IzzyD.Anarchy ok I stand corrected about Kazui and Shidou then. However could there be a possibility that Muu is purposely isolating him from everyone else? Thats usually one of the signs of domestic abuse or forced co-dependency. Idk I’m personally feel like Muu was very serious about not going to stop Haruka. Looking at her personality from the video’s she’s the type to use people for her benefit and turn on others who she views as a obstacle. At this point haruka basically leverage against us to her. I mean yeah of course she wants his attention as well but rn her survival is most important to her so haruka making her life more important then his own works in her favor so why try and stop him?

@@SkySpadeMikazena why would muu blame haruka if all of the prisoners know its es who gives out the verdicts like lets think what the guilty prisoners so far have said and they all condemn es's choice to forgive kotoko and don't exactly put all the blame on kotoko like its in no way haruka's fault muu got guilty lmao haruka tried to get innocent for her but its es who chose guilty for both of them and if the voices in their heads say what yall be saying then they know its es also in first voice drama she says that she won't forgive es because of their choice she knows its on es muu blames only rei and not everyone else that bullied her i wonder why... because she just likes to put the blame on everyone am i right? muu wants to stay in the prison - her season 2 5th voice line on the milgram website says so, thats one of the reasons haruka wants to stay in the prison. like i bet in t3 she'll say something about wanting to leave and haruka will echo it haruka chose to isolate himself to focus on his future course of action but if you want to use the argument that "friends should be able to do what they want" wouldn't it fit that - its harukas choice so muu supposedly can't do anything about it but she legit wants him to come out of the cell like are you reading the translations with closed eyes; read haruka's birthday timeline this instant!!

Yall are crazy if you think that this guy is forgivable. Sure he wants attention, but forgiving him means that he will still think that killing anyone for attention is a good thing, which I don't think is right.

True, but voting him guilt is the right thing? Yeah, what he did was terrible, but he's not going to understand what he did wrong. Futa was given a guilty vote in the first trial, but he was deemed innocent in the second one cause he felt bad after he realized what he done. Haruka won't understand that, but in milgram being guilty ≠ re-education

@@Finally_in_reverse The only chance that he will change and grow as a person is if he is voted guilty, and honestly, the people that voted on the first trial should have voted him guilty by then, he may be too far to be saved imo. He was voted innocent and not only did he not change, not realize anything, he let Muu use him as she pleases because she gives him attention. Voting cocky people and insecure people guilty in the first trial was the move, yet somehow people decided to not go with that.

I know that it's probably not the point but I really wonder if you can change at that extent. Being anxious, insecure, despising yourself...once you have solved all your issues do you become someone else like Haruka did ?
