I love this period Miles. Not having to prove a thing. Flying over the city.
TUTU...The song itself is as otherworldly as Miles was. I love the open, airy vibe of this live performance.
Rick Wellman's groove is so straight jacket tight!

😢 man this never gets old I was fortunate enough to see Miles Davis at Tanglewood years ago probably close to 30 years ago he did this song from the amendola album I will always remember I was standing close to the stage before showtime and the lights went down he came out right in front of me and I stuck my hand out and yelled miles he looked at me and shook his head no but I will always remember at that moment I had my attention I treasure that👍💪😎🎺
...........only one word..................., (BEAUTIFUL)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...and I was there (as reporter/photographer)....what a GIFT! One of the greatest moments in the whole history of the "Stuttgart Jazz Gipfel" festivals. I'll never forget.

I was also there - working for the swiss sound supplier, Audio-Rent... one year later I was called to do FOH mixing during two of his european tours - THE highlight of my carreer - after that nothing was the same
The synths are simply sublime. Miles got the very BEST out of his musicians at all times. Qu'elle plaisir!!

you're Miles ahead...RIP Miles Davis & Bishop Tutu
That lady sure is brilliant on percussion on an already great piece of music, Tutu one of my favourites
"Sometimes strident, often tender, never afraid and seldom without humor, Desmond Tutu's voice will always be the voice of the voiceless" -Nelson Mandela ---Just a reminder of the significance of the title of this song, one worth mentioning, I think. Thank you.
Genius
Tu Tu... simply a classic
Miles, he did it all and the best, always the best..

He sounded better and blacker when he played it with Marcus. No offense to these players but it's true.
映像は、あるんですね。それも、膨大な量が、 マイルスの偉大さは、時を越えて受け継がれるのでしょうね。 斬新で🆒ですよ(∵)。

Yes, she is terrific. I'm not sure, but I think she played with Wayne Shorter in the mid 80's. I saw him with Terri Lynne Carrington, Jim Beard, (can't remember the bass player), and a woman playing percussion and it was one of the best shows I've seen. I'm guessing it was her.

Miles liked Marilyn. I don't care for that. I'm old school Airto and Mongo Santamaria
Sorry, being a Hybrid from area 52, I made a flippant comment, I,m being moved to area 51 now because GCHQ read this, run by SIS America, learn about electro magnetic fields, using solar u need 43G to be safe, easy, go back to basics, Memorize everything u see, Money, woman are are weakest bits of ur kind. MUSIC is easy from an early age. Like others u dream and wake up playing Sax or anything u want, but u only get one shot, so make ur mind up.
Alessandro de Souza
The band did all the job. What a performance. But Miles playing is sometimes crap and souns horribly. Respects to Marylin Mazur and Joe McCreary alias Foley!
