35:10 Disagree with the announcer 100%, there was over a minute left in the round and Ribalta was getting destroyed and was already hurt. You could see the sweat flying off Ribaltas face when Mike was punching him. There was no reason to continue to see Ribalta hit the floor.

This is Jose Ribalta that Tyson is fighting with. The referee stopped the fight in the 10th round as a TKO, so Tyson got himself another victory!!

I never understood why he didn’t fight Tony Tucker like this. Tucker and Ribalta are virtually identical in their styles, yet Mike couldn’t get off the shots he wanted against Tucker and it went the distance for an eventual Tyson win on points with no knock downs.🤔😎

Great fight. This is Tyson at his peak against someone who doesnt want to quit. This is one of my favorite Tyson fights of all times.

Not at his peak. Tyson is a bit sloppy in this fight. Footwork wasn't great. Not putting together his combos that well. Not jabbing that well. Nice bodywork. His peak would come a year or 2 later: dismantling Biggs, destroying Holmes, Tubbs, Spinks.

@@DaDominicanDawg I see a whole lot of slop in between the great combinations he did land on Ribalta. If Tyson were at his peak, or fighting his best on that particular night, he probably would have blasted Tucker out. Though, I will say Tucker was very underrated and had a good chin.

Ribalta was using a tactic that many of the tall heavy fighters used . During the clutches he was making Tyson to have to support his weight which tires the smaller man out quicker. It’s obvious Tyson was getting tired, thus flurrying in spurts. The last spurt was to much for the very durable Ribalta. Thanks for the replay. Cheers!

It looks like Mike Tyson is just getting a good workout sparring but Jose needs to land some good punches in bunches. Jose is 6 ft 6 but doesn't use his height but has a big ❤️.

Tyson carried Ribalta the whole fight. He worked the body the first 8 rounds. He would simply walk into a clinch until it was broken up. Maybe Mike just wanted to get more work in and go for more rounds.
