He didn't fight off the jab or use any lateral movement while fighting from distance george would lose off of the breakdown and even said by the commentaries like I said Mike wasnt joe his weaknesses wasnt a uppercut that he just kept running through especially not a slow easy to read one from a person as slow as george it was like I said a person who fought from range and who used good lateral movement Nobody has anybody George fought that can compare to mike so how is it they said he would beat Mike where does it come from its based off of nothing which is odd

The best way to envision the two fighters; Tyson was a spring loaded canon ready to explode, Foreman was a heavy wrecking ball who could break through anything. Both men could take a punch as well, Tyson due to his thick physique and Foreman because he naturally didn't get dazed much. The sad thing is this could have happened in the mid 80's if Foreman hadn't retired. By late 80's it was too late.

I think what often makes it difficult to compare how "hard" 2 boxers hit, is the physics involved with how each one punches. Mike Tyson hit hard, because he had fast twitch muscles that allowed him to swing at a high speed - where Foreman, had more weight and momentum behind his punches, even if he didn't quite have as much speed.

Legend has it that while watching old fights of Foreman and not knowing Foreman would ever comeback to boxing Cus D’amato told Tyson when he was young that Foreman would be a bad match up for him- after Cus died, Foremen made a surprising comeback but Tyson always remembered what his old trainer told him and steered clear of old George.

Sure does make you wonder. Mike is a different breed of human he’s a young 53 year old. But the heavyweight division has evolved since Foreman’s comeback. Today’s heavyweights would be way too big for an older Mike Tyson. Mike might be getting in the ring with Fury for an exhibition. It would purely be a spectacle but it’d be historical for sure. I’d prefer him to have an actual fight especially the Shannon Briggs one. Even though they have great respect for each other

SONIC ART I say it comes down what their entire run of Foreman’s and Tyson’s careers showed. Both started off very well, both were knock out punchers who lead with anger and often intimidated their opponents. Both fighters had incredible success and had people calling them the best ever. Then both fighters had loses. Foreman lost to Ali. Now Foreman did had some good fights after that first lose, but untimely lost to Jimmy Young. Tyson lost to Buster Douglas. Foreman left boxing and came back to boxing later. In his 2nd career as a boxer Foreman made peace with his loses, now did he want the belt back, yes, would he even fought Ali and Young had they still been fighting I bet he would have. Foreman had his edge back, the “I Will Win Feeling” all legendary boxes have and use to help them win. He changed his style worked to his second career strengths, he knew he was a different person than his first boxing career and he adapted and fought in styles he could win at during that second career. Foreman fought and went back up the line once again. He had loses one to Morrison, I always questioned how that fight was handled, but that is a different topic, and then he lost to Holyfield in an epic fight. Then Foreman did what I believe made him a legendary fighter, he once again got past those loses and beat Moore with an impressive 10th knock out. From the start of his comeback, you could tell from hearing him talk he had studied boxing more and I bet had watched a ton of fights with trainers and people over the years. He knew styles and history of Boxing. He knew what he thought he could do to win the title back. Now due to his age I believe while he knew in his mind and heart what it took to win he was not always able to get his body to do it. He did though find a way to get that belt back! Tyson after his lose to Buster Douglas was ever never the same fighter he was before Douglas. Tyson like Foreman had some wins. But he just was not the same fighter who could come out scare his opponent and expect to win every fight. Tyson has his longest break from Boxing. He did again win after 4 Plus years off he had. He even won two championship belts. Tyson next fought Holyfield, and suffered another loss he did not handle well. Then there was the second lose to Holyfield where things just went off the rails. He had some wins after that second loss to Holyfield but was not the fighter he once was and never did find a way to be a fighter who could go out and win fights. Seems to me he just lost the will to be a good fighter. Tyson never did have the ring and boxing knowledge to learn how to be more than a puncher. He never learned how to change styles. Once people learned how to beat him he was finished as a fighter. That inability to change and grow as a fighter is why Foreman would have beat Tyson. It may have been a longer fight with Tyson being frustrated by Foreman and his style as a bigger and taller heavyweight, and his inability to KO Foreman, Tyson would have left himself open for knock downs and most likely a knock out from Foreman.

Ogi Kovacevic I disagree, but that is the fun of talking about boxers who never fought and what might have been. That short two year period would have been The Only Time he would have even had any type of chance. Even then I do not think he could he have handled Foreman’s punches. Certainly later in Tyson’s career Foreman would have avenged any miracle victory Tyson could have had earlier.

And in said fight Foreman showed what he would do to Tyson, whenever Joe got on the inside George simply pushed him out of range. Mike would definitely do better than Frazier because of his speed, but there’s simply no way that Mike could beat one of the greatest boxers ever in their prime when he never even proved he could defeat a Top 50 fighter in their prime. George Foreman in his prime would have KNOCKED OUT MIKE TYSON just like he did Joe Frazier, and Ken Norton. those are the type of fighters George Foreman knocked out quick the ones that stood right in front of him.. There was a good chance that George Foreman could have even knocked out Mike Tyson even in his 40s if the fight ever happened. Again those are the fighters that got knocked out by George the easiest.. Tyson's head would have been right there for him to hit right where most of his power was. George had the best knockout percentage in history he fought 81 fights, and knocked out 68!! He only lost 5 times. AND THE ONLY PERSON TO EVER KNOCK HIM OUT WAS MUHAMMAD ALI IN GEORGE FOREMAN'S PRIME!! You can see how great Muhammad Ali is just by looking at how an old fat George Foreman fought the great fighters in the 90s in what he did against them versus what Muhammad Ali who wasn't even in his prime did to George Foreman in George Foreman's prime. You can easily see that George Foreman would have knocked out any of the fighters he fought in the 90s including evander holyfield that he almost knocked out because he was too slow he couldn't finish the job. If Foreman was in his prime like he was with Ali HE WOULD HAVE OBLITERATED EVANDER HOLYFIELD WITHIN THREE ROUNDS!! THERE'S NO WAY HOLYFIELD WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TAKE THE PRESSURE! George in his prime could throw punches Non-Stop and put so much pressure.
