Imagine being the "baddest man on the planet" and copping a plea deal to serve time in a youth camp. That's what Mike did. He never served no hard time with real killers.

@remixgod4496 It doesn't work like that. The only people who get respect in prison are shot callers or serious killers. It's all well and good to be a pro-fighter. But convicts love to test people with a rep. Tyson may get the better of a lot of people in a brawl, but he's only human. Sooner or later, you make the wrong enemies. "Baddest man on the planet" or not, when 3 or 4 people show up with shivs, broomsticks, weights, or a lock in a sock, you're getting got.

I think prison would be pretty peaceful for me. I am fine with being by myself. I am fine in small rooms as well. I was in the AZ desert in a 5th wheel one winter pretty much alone for about 50 of the days without talking to another person (saw some but not close up). Some people get peace in being alone, and others cannot stand it and go crazy.

That would seem more like a test than a "punishment". The "punishment" is failing the test or maybe it was given because God felt him deserving or the world needed to see him but then bad things happened. Ultimately today Tyson is a family man.1st and foremost. He was always destined for greatness but failure is another story which maybe he had to go through in order to become the man he is today for other reasons. I believe truly it's because his heart was so honest and his transparency that helps many people to relate to what he says as well respect him even through all the crazy stuff he's done and been through. Tyson is the type to be all in on whatever he does even if it is horrendous and viscous anger and resentment but always with good reason. He's just a very genuine individual which is a rare thing...raw and uncut as well about business.

Tbh, i can relate to what he is saying. It depends on circumstances, and on what kind of life an individual has. But for myself, i can confirm, that i had my best 3 years in prison too. I have a way too shitty family, and so my mind enjoyed being there. I enjoyed a break from my family, and most of all from my bully brother (he is dead by now. May he rest in peace). But that's not all. I improved myself a lot. I had a routine. I woke up early. I was doing somethin useful (like cleaning snow, going to work, took english lessons, read books, work out, etc.). Not a big deal, but in that world, there are different values, and so seemingly shitty things, have a really different meaning. Then i had a goal in my life- to make it out of there on probation. Sounds like it's not nothing special at all, bcz it is the most natural thing to try in there, but it is a goal. And for someone, who lived without a purpose, it's a great starter. And finally, i had something to look forward to -freedom. Bcz as much as i praise prison life in here, a human soul still wants to be free. And in that improved state of mind, i thought how different my future freedom would look like. So in that state of mind i found hope. In a way, you'll learn to like that place. It kinda becomes your new home. The people in there become your new family. As much, as many of them want to steal your stuff, and are after you, so you have to watch your back, it ain't all that bad, as it looks from outside. When you learn how to live there, it becomes a routine (besides, everyone is after you even outside, so..). Then, later on, you'll even feel sorry, when someone is leaving. Like when a good friend is going home. Or when he gets transfered to a different prison. But when he goes home somehow feels different. It is really hard. Sometimes, you'll even miss someone who even was your enemy. When he comes, gives you a handshake, and says godspeed to you.. you all of a sudden think about him in a way like: "why were we even fightin ? He ain't that bad." Life hits really different in there. Christmas do have a different meaning in there as well. You won't believe me, but christmas in prison are way more magical than outside. First of all, you of course miss the loved ones. But there are even other angles. Kinda being back in school vibes. Decorations, singing songs, the preacher comes, and makes a holy mass. I mean, i'm no religious type of guy, but it has a magical impact in there. Again, a childhood vibes. Outside we don't apreciate christmas that much, bcz we are spoiled by the consume life. And not just christmas. It's like that with everything. But in prison, you'll simply value the little things. You learn to feel again. You'll get to know yourself better. You'll reset yourself. Maybe i was lucky. Lucky to had a good time spent in there. Lucky to have met a good people. Lucky to have been locked up in a good country.. not in a perfect one, but far from the worst. I mean, in guatemala, iraq, afghanistan, russia, or thailand, to name a few, there might not be a such a fun and games prison time. I'm only sayin my own experiences. Nevertheless, it's a pity that i wasn't able to continue in that path, after i came back home. It was again my family, who brought me down. 9 years later, i'm still struggling with my life. See ? Life in prison may in a way be even better and simplier. Mike deffinetly has a point.

Me and Mike are about the same age! Growing up and training in the Martial Arts I use to envision my opponent as Mike Tyson who can kick! So I trained very hard using that image of Mike as my benchmark opponent! I loved his fights even though I was shocked with the Buster Douglas fight and Holyfield fights! Mike Tyson has had a very influential impact on my life! Especially now that he is more humble and wiser!

I learned how programmed everyone was out here, from TV. How everyone believes in fairytale things, like Democrat and Republican politicians. That their vote matters. That there's somehow a difference between the Bushes, the Clintons, Obama, Trump, or Biden. That they're not all on the same team. I wish everyone could see and hear themselves. I learned that we are all in prison out here, too. It took me 10 years of being in one, to recognize a prison when I saw one, without the bars.

Is true, many of us are confined within our own mental prisons, in our own detrimental beliefs, trapped in our own bitter hearts and bad habits of thought and attitude. It is not easy to be our own man, good and strong, and independent, living by our own best judgement. Even when we think we are our own man, often later or on closer inspection we realise we are giving in to social pressures and betraying our self.

I find subscribe to his channel and watch his hilarious cartoon and it is great stuff - enlightening, edifying, absurd, sweet, and I tend to learn something when I watch. That all aside, the pictures of Don King in the background smiling when Mike is holding up all the money, the pics with he and Donald Trump, and knowing that James Brown visited him in Prison and all those shenanigans with him getting women pregnant while incarcerated, the man is a legend!
