Mike had/has such a way with words. To just watch his evolution as a fighter, as a man, has been nothing less than a privilege. Thank you, Mike, for always being authentic. Mike Tyson, a legend that was made flesh
This is why Mike Tyson will never get old or boring the way he carried himself is what made us fans world wide crave more of Iron Mike his soul and spirit and mindset speaks for itself raw uncut and unapologetic like Tupac Shakur
Iron Mike made strong men humble themselves.
He’d later admit that he was afraid of everyone but he used that fear to give him power
The only thing Tyson feared was failure. That’s why he became the Champ, he felt no other option.

If you take “Prime Mike Tyson, 87-89”, I would put him up against any Heavyweight that’s ever lived. I know if Mike doesn’t knock him out he will outbox him. His speed, power, timing, head movement and defensive capabilities were unmatched. When Cus D’Amato trained Tyson he took something from each of the greatest heavyweights and put that in Mike. Forever my Favorite Fighter! 💪🥊

@@Price70 Even if they had fought five years earlier, I still think Lewis wins it. Early 90s, not a chance, Mike would have been far too much for him, but from about 97 onwards, Lewis has him beat. It's a shame because you can't really compare them due to the fact they peaked at different times. Peak Tyson against peak Lewis would be an interesting match but it was an impossibility.

@@WildMorgan I agree. I wasn't giving any specific timeframes but since you brought it up. Mike was a shell of himself after prison. Even without Rooney in 89 when he KOd Bruno and Williams, and in 90 when he KOd Tillman and Stewart and then his wins over Ruddock in 91, he still had his speed, even if he didn't rely quite as much on his footwork and head movements. Still at 6'5 with an 84 inch reach, that's a lot for anyone, especially if you're 5'10 and 71 inch reach
