He spent 5 years in prison, in the middle of his prime, for a crime that later the victim said didn’t happen. He lost his one true mentor and father figure as well as a child early on. His childhood was rough. Kinda makes me feel they were mostly not so his inner demons but outer influences that pushed his survival methods. He was always generally kind after his fights.

Mike Tyson is, to use an often used term, the GOAT. Butterbean is like something from the 1920, an authentic, no messing, real, honets-to-god, tough guy with a solid chin and an iron fist. Mike's a skilled and trained athlete so even with each in their prime, there'd be no real competition but two great fighters in their own right..

You could see the respect for each other. Those are two pro boxers, and Butterbean was about as unique as they come, but he was the real deal.
