congrats heroine rollercoaster is fun for a while then it gets to the shit show i had the best times smoking h with my homies lol we all fell some in jail we all got super fucked up 2 are still doing it one is clean im doing suboxone but im doing 2mg strips do about 3 some time 2 depends on the day but im trying hard to get of suboxone 2 i said i would never go on subs but if it wasnt for subs i wouldnt have made changes to my life like have a job have money in the bank then i went to do fuckin ketamin wich was stupid 2 lol but it dosent show up on drug test so i liked that i could still get fucked up but that shit is expensive 2 lol i quit ketamin before it got bad

Situation actually comes off really well here. I always thought he was a bit of a buffoon but recovery seems to have treated him well. He’s able to engage with others and listen to the guys perspectives and not just droning on about himself, good on ya Mike!

I am 12 years sober now from opiates, and can totally relate to the withdrawals. I’d do anything to avoid. Stoked that Mike is sharing and sober now.

I love this. He’s humbled himself and is genuinely a good guy

I still think there's a complete double standard between celebrities like "The Situation" who are heroes for "opening up" about their addictions and normal people who can't find a space to talk about them because "the vibes" are too much. There has to be a change in how addiction and mismedication issues are dealt with in our society.

I'm blessed for people who are honest! Props to people having balls to admit they are human. I've made so many mistakes which are my responsibility and due to my actions but most people will use your mistakes against you and treat you in human about them..I never hurt anyone, caused anyone any harm etc. I'm just a regular guy making mistakes so I give props to Mike for coming out and being open, especially being in the public eye.

Opiates were my drug of choice I started on temgesic and dihydrocodiene them moved to heroin and I spent just under 10 years of misery because I was terrified of the week of hell that is withdrawal. Been clean since July 1999 and I had to move to another country to stay clean.

Oh wow, I actually like Mike, I never thought I’d say that ever. I was in active addiction when I decided I didn’t like Mike back on Jersey Shore. Now I’m in active recovery and hear this about him, instant supporter.

Thank you for calling them roxis. Those from the oxycontin wave know. Every time I hear perc 30 I cringe 😂

@@Grimeandcrime Yeah the quantity doesn't add up. With the help of a friend taking a 50/50 cut I would run 2 lbs a week but I could get 1 mg Xanax 600-800 at a time and they would be gone in 2 weeks. People would eat them like skittles at parties when we were late teens and early 20's.

Mike is so much cooler & such a good person now. And his journey/ turn around with sobriety is truly amazing. I’d of been dead if I had half of that money he was spending on blues. I was a opioid & heroin addict for 12 years of my life, luckily i went to rehab 3 times & got myself cleaned up and have been clean off pain pills or H for about 4-5 years now 🙏🏻🙌🏻

went down the same road for a lot of years (same time frame... 2006 - 2018 or so). lot of us didn't make it... nice to hear him speak as a relatable person and have some humility.

As a fan and addict I can say you did a good job because I never knew what you were going thru and you never gave that user vibe during the show. My point is you never influenced anyone watching the show to take drugs and kept the show and your issues separate from the fans

Oxy ruined my life I hurt my knee in Football doctor gave 80mg a day and when they cut everyone cold i was so sick when i came off i was 18.

I'm glad for Mike & Steve O.... both are really good guys, you can't fake being real for a long time.

I been clean for a little more then 8 years and I was spending 4-5 grand on percs and at least 1500 on weed a month at my worst . Glad I got off all that a lot of people I know that was on the same shit have moved on the heroin/ fentanyl or have died.

The Jersey trip to Italy, caught right away he was going through the motions like he couldn't get anything over there.

I gotta hand it to Mike on this interview..I never watched that show but its relentlessness was unavoidable…He greatly reduced his douchebaggery IMO on how he conducted his answers, his stories were well articulated too…good for him

That whole stretch, opioids were everywhere. I wasn’t taking as much as him. But still doing around 8 10mg Norcos a day for years. Didn’t even realize what was happening to my body and dependency until I was without for the first time in over a year.

Mike and his brother Marc are good dudes. Long before Jersey Shore, they'd train (gym) together and were pretty much inseparable. It's incredible to see how Mike has grown as a person. I always liked the dude so i hope he keeps working on himself.

My buddy moved a ton of roxis here in south Florida. Remember when they were like 8 bucks a piece. I remember buying them at 12, 15; 20, 25… then it went to 30 and I had to get sober . The price for them are still 35 to this day .

OxyContin 30mg went from 10 a pill to 30 a pill overnight around this time. I fully believe it and they price increase was a huge factor in me getting sober

It's far easier to change your diet than deal with legitimate drug withdrawals. Yeah you'll have headaches at first from reducing sugar and caffeine. You'll get over it though. There's no health benefits to that garbage. Soda which I might drink occasionally is good for weight gain, tooth decay, diabetes, fatty liver with a side of increased risk for heart disease and cancer.
