Yeah. And we shouldn't expect individuals to be strong in just a flick of the finger. Mike in particular has most definitely sought some help, went through painful recuperation mentally to cope with all these traumas. As a society, we have to learn to help each other to as you say, "pick ourselves up and keep going".

When all listen to music when we are happy or sad and alot of times that specific song or tune gets associated with that specific memory in our subconscious mind. Next time when we listen to the same song we feel the same emotion that we were feeling in the past. As a Mexican i love that Mike mentioned a little about "Día de los muertos". One very important thing inside the celebration is the "Están contigo" or "They are within you" feeling. This means that even when someone you loved has passed away, you live life and honor them by keep moving forward and doing something that you know your loved one would be happy / proud to see.

J Witherspoon i dont know what to tell you man. The majority of the interview was about mental health which originates from chester and the effects his death had on mike. The album started off as a way to cope with it for mike. The closing statement was about chester. Trevor may not have asked questions that directly mentioned chester, but it was certainly what drove the interview. The only part that had no relation to chester was the part about japanese internment camps, which was referencing one of his songs which isnt even in Post Traumatic

Mike, my condolences. I liked Chester because he spoke about his hard past, because he made his depression heard and therefore encouraged others to speak as well. And it hurt me because he went, not so much because of music (in music we live forever) but because of what he did for those who wondered if depression was their mistake. And now ... you ... the exceptional man that you are ... are speaking of mental illnesses ... loud enough for both Chester and yourself. It. Is. Inspirational.

I remember my dad bringing me to best buy to buy hybrid theory the day after I heard crawling for the first time 20 years ago. Mike mentioning it be the best selling album worldwide that year was not surprising at all. We were raised on this band, their music spoke to the lost kids of the world. LP doesn't have fans, they have family. Saw on another comment:"death is a scar that cannot heal, but love is a memory no one can steal."

Been growing up on Linkin Park since elementary school and tomorrow I'll have my thesis defense to graduate university. LP songs are everlasting, Chester's voice has been always reflecting a lot of people pain and hope, including me. LP is more than a band, they're a part of our history.

It was so hard growing up, living with so much pain... Linkin Park became something more to me than music or a rock band, they were and still are a balm that burn when it cures and feels fresh and light when it relaxes you. The way Mike Shinoda has been able to carry on has made those years following LP mean something despite Chester's passing. It was hard for me to accept the suicide of someone who saved me from that same fate... but Mike and his positivism and his will to live and fight and show the world we can carry on and still see the beauty of those songs helped me cope and once more find the balm in their art... I really miss Chester. I really miss Linkin Park. And I couldn't be happier Mike is still there, making music, making people feel again.

I really appreciate how Trevor knows that Mike himself is in a sense lost and sad about Chester yet he is able to deliver a question without even mentioning Chester's name with the same intention of asking how Mike has been doing and how he transition from a band to a solo artist. I came back to re-watch this since I've forgotten about the content of this video. Man I do miss Linkin Park, was binging their songs yesterday as usual. It's good that Mike's doing great now even without a band, really do wish more people notice him for who he is and how talented he is as both a song writer and a singer and not just see him as a "member of Linkin Park". Not saying this to bring down the band's reputation, but saying this to show that every band member is talented in their own way and can go being a solo artist if they want to.

This was such a pleasent interview. Trevor has really come into his own. I wouldn't say he's at Stewart's caliber, but the way he handled this interview is exactly one of the reasons the daily show got so big in the first place. Interviews that are less business and more like two friends talking. I could tell Mike really appreciated both his kind words and his blunt, but still sensitive, questions. Mike is always on point and while I'm under no illusion theres still turmoil in his mind, he really held himself with a lot of inner strength and positivity. Easily one of my favorite interviews.
