There's also one of Mike Manjini the current drummer of Dream Theater where he plays tunes on a drum made from paint barrels. It was broadcast on a radio show. I recommend seeing it too.

Mike Portnoy is my favorite drummer by far lol. There's another video of him playing a Pokemon kit with two bass drums. Guys please do In This River by Black Label Society live in Paris! It's a tribute from Zakk Wylde to Dimebag Darrell. They were good friends before Dime passed. That performance is one of the best live guitar solos of all time. Requested on your site as well!

if u want to get ur mind blown, just do "speed kills" by michael angelo batio. it's an old video in like a "tutorial" format but basicaly he's playing alone in a room for most people in guitar world, he is just like.. well.. maybe it's the most gifted man ever existed to play electric guitar

This is pretty amusing but I also think it's worth checking out some drummers doing their thing when all the focus is on them really doing tbeir thing. Here's a link to Thomas Lang, one of my favourite session drummers who appears to mainly play the drums for the sake and love of playing the drums rather then playing in a band although he did audition for Dream Theatre back in the day....I think they found him to be too technical.
