No this is an international legal issue. The academics are also not able to balance new original perspectives with free speech of other voices to the extent that they can’t stop coercion. United Nations has got a lot to do with it, and also lots of other organisations that no one will mention because they are too afraid to.

It's insane to me that we let Qatar be the largest donor for US Universities for years without anyone noting or caring. What motive could they possibly have that isn't nefarious? Any answer to that question that may have seemed plausible months ago is now much less plausible as we gain insight into what's going on at Universities. Nobody sane likes war, or wants war. If you're crying out for peace between Israelis and Palestinians in good faith, and know that both sides are culpible for the violence we've seen over the years, I'm with you. If instead someone you don't even know is telling you to burn the American flag and anhiliate Zionists, bub, you've been brainwashed. Time to wake up.

I think there are a lot of sane people in this world who think it’s quite normal to want war. @@Illi13il yeah to clarify my point, at this stage in human history, war may still be necessary until we can converge upon a common set of values and systems that so strongly disincentivizes violence, war becomes a thing of the past. We're not there and I support Israel's right to respond and remove Hamas from power wherever they hide/fight from. All that said, I'm only highlighting the fact that an idealistic college age kid who legitamitely just wants world peace now is not the problem. It's understandable and I had the same views when I was a kid. But what people don't realize, is the rot in US Universities runs much deeper and is much less innocent in terms of motives. Many of these kids have a very unbalanced view of the history of Israel and the I/P conflict. Until we realize that in global struggles both sides can be victims and perpetraders at the same time, and we boil down our views to one flag 🇮🇱 or another 🇵🇸... no progress can be made toward world peace.
JUST LIKE THEY LEARN BLACK HISTORY IN MIDDLE SCHOOL ITS TIME TO LEARN JEWISH HISTORY

They all chant death threats and should be charged and/or deported for this. Not charging them is like giving them a green light for escalating acts not in accordance with laws everyone else has to follow. If those in power refuse to take care of these issues then they no longer have the right to that power. Another big issue is that many of these protesting on the campus grounds aren't even students so this is a double whammy for the students that truly want to learn, they have to deal with violent lunatics chanting death threats and get blamed for it....this is unbearable....how can you all let this happen to the kids?

I think they are learning it more from TikTok than from professors. Yes, there were some rogue profs that got suspended, but most profs are nuanced in their analysis of the Israel/Palestine issue or don’t teach a related subject. TikTok is the main source of information and “inspiration” for the students.

Exactly high time to call out what these protests are.
I think that the term 'Free speech' is being used loosely nowadays. We are literally accepting the law above common sense. And whenever we allow law to overtake common sense, I think this is where society starts to deteriorate. I'm pretty sure when the founding fathers thought of free speech, I'm sure they didn't think that common sense would be overruled by law. It's common sense to know that chanting genocide on any people is wrong. But somehow they think free speech applies to everything now so they think they can say anything they want. It makes no sense to get rid of common sense because it's been established of hundreds or even thousands of years. Like transgenderism, who in their right mind would think that a man can have a child? Everyone knows that every single human being to have ever lived was from a woman. Giving up on common sense is giving up your country, society, and even the human race as a whole. Despite of what the law says, we should use common sense rather than using law as a 'as is' tool for everything.

It's a shame that these claims are made with no fact/source checking; in some cases the counter protestors or individuals not affiliated with the protests made these statements; fact is these protests have been largely peaceful, except for when the cops were called in and were violent, and these protests have involved many Jewish students! Please take a little time and effort to understand what is being protested, who is protesting, and what exactly the protest consists of.
