In this video, we're diving into the offense that Mike Denbrock, new playcaller for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, got his start in coaching. We see how he and long-time collaborator Brian Kelly (now the HC of the LSU Tigers) were influenced by coaches like Steve Spurrier and his Florida Gators back in the 90's. We then look at how Brian Kelly developed a spread offense that combined a perimeter-based passing attack and a rushing QB to create one of the best offenses in college football. We'll see how Denbrock developed his offense at Cincinnati, under Luke Fickell and Marcus Freeman, before moving to LSU, where he coached players like Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr., and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels, building the best offense in the country around them.

Keep up the great work. Another potential vid you could is USC's new defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn's scheme.

I’m fairly new to this channel, but I’ve been enjoying the recent videos. I definitely think this video is the best one yet! It’s very thorough and I learned a lot about offensive schemes. I’m curious to see what Denbrock cooks up at ND.

When I found that 1995 footage I was PUMPED. Those 2001-2003 offenses were historically interesting, too. It's like Kelly was already doing what the next-generation Air Raid coaches have started to do over the last decade, meshing spread rushing principles into an original pass-first offense.

Play action, motion and outside run plays would be nice to see. Parker was such a panic move. Running Love, Payne and Price like Estime was just dumb.

What are the chances of you doing a video on Phil Parker an his defense? I'd really love to see how he continually has elite results with relatively subpar talent.

That's a good idea. I'm going to do a Collin Klein video for sure, so I can get a few videos out of it by looking at Baker's defense against KSU plus someone else. I'm not sure when, but once I get into that cluster of videos Baker will be a part of it for sure.

    You’re answer to #2 is Riley Leonard’s 700 yards in 2022

Just need to find a Jayden Daniel's, Malik Nabors, Brian Thomas jr and an NFL caliner o line and you should be good to go....

Everyone knows about the struggles at QB and WR, but o-line?! This year’s o’line will be young, but talent at o-line is not an issue.

Deuce Knight could be a Cam Newton college clone. And they’re amping up WR recruiting big time. O Line, RBs, and TE’s should continue to be solid. Marcus runs circles around Kelly in terms of recruiting so there’s no reason they can’t build a more modern offense here

@@Surge308even Kenny Minchey & CJ Carr are far better prospects than Kelly's QBs at ND like Buchner & Pyne. Idk why some people think the talent gap is about to be so big when NDs had three top 10 recruiting classes in a row and aiming for # four. No OC would leave the #1 offense in the country to go to a team without talent. I'm excited to see what Denbrock schemes up for J. Love and J. Price, both RBs with great speed that are also receiving threats. Having a top 5 defense to compliment Denbrock's offense certainly won't hurt either

They already have a better oline so that just narrows it down to finding one of the best QB/WR groups they’ve ever had lol

I think the comment section is glazing LSU’s talent pool way too hard but idk about this chief lol It’s getting better but their WR room over the past 3 years fucking shits on ND’s, QB play only started to reach competency last year.

Man ND won’t ever come close to mimicking that offense. The athleticism doesn’t match up at all

I hoped to see more from the RPO playcalling. Joe Moorhead is a guy who does this TE-heavy RPO stuff really well, and my guess is that Denbrock was inspired by him when he was at Penn State, but Moorehead's a much better technician at scheming those RPO's.

Maybe, maybe not…a good artist paints with the colors given to them. In college, where there’s an endless revolving door, a great coach has to evolve
